Happy 4th of July!

To everyone in the US, happy Independence Day. Are you doing anything special?

We have nothing planned and I'm thrilled. It's nice to have a day with no plans. We had a nice bbq last week with my parents. Their development hosted fireworks and we could see them from their back deck. And thankfully, our dog isn't scared of fireworks, so she was able to hang out with us.

tycho657, thankfully, our dog doesn't mind the fireworks if she can see them. If she'd indoors, the noise upsets her. I think she feels she has to protect us and she isn't sure what the threat is. If we take her outside on a leash and she can see the fireworks, she just sits down next to us and watches.

Ours was quiet for the most part. Barbecued, went to the movies, and watched fireworks on TV.
