Oh my! I'm so out of sorts that I just realized it's Monday! Now that school is out, I guess my sense of time is a little off. However, it was nice to sleep in this morning. Last week my daughter graduated from the 8th grade. It made for a busy week as there was a field trip, an awards ceremony, a special 8th grade breakfast for which I was a volunteer, and then the graduation which included 620 students and about 2400 adults! It was 90+ degrees in an unairconditioned gym. We were lucky no one passed out! But it was a nice event and we went out to dinner afterward. The next day, one of her friends hosted a pool party and one of the kids almost drowned! There was plenty of supervision, but they were playing a game and it took a minute before they realized one of the kids wasn't coming up from the bottom of the pool! Scary, but thankfully everyone was okay. So, now it's your turn. Check in and let us know how things are going with you.

We have only had just over 1/4 inch of rain so far this month...due to have 'heavy storms' later today and tonight!

The 'storm' was a waste of time...only 1/4 inch of rain and several strong wind gusts. Next chances for rain are both days this weekend. There are already some rumors of water-use restrictions if there is no relief soon. We are 3 inches below usual normal accumulation already this year. Our water bill is going to be startling. On the bright side, only 50 days until 2024 Great Canada Fishing Adventure-Number 20 begins!

We actually had a pretty good thunder storm here with high winds and a little hail. I'm hearing that quite a few people lost power, but thankfully that wasn't us.
On Tuesday, we went down the shore with our dog who likes the water, but loves to dig in the sand. At one point, she started digging a hole while I was lying on a towel behind her and she covered me in sand before I could stop her. My daughter thought it was very, very funny.
