I know you are busy this week so I will start this post. I am still in Maryland visiting my family. I had some fun this week making homemade pizza with my Great Grandkiddos. they had fun pressing out the crust, adding sauce and cheese. I don't get a chance to do this from across the country, so I try and do lots of hands on stuff. We also learned about rockets the same day as the 1st rocket that will go back to the Moon finally got it's first flight. I hope your flight and visit for Bobbies funeral goes well. You will be in our thoughts and prayers as you visit with her family to say goodbye.

tycho657, thank you for the kind thoughts. We had a nice weekend. We took the dog to a nearby park with lots of Revolutionary War historic sites. George Washington spent a lot of time in New Jersey. There was a small museum and my husband and daughter went in while I kept the dog outside. She was NOT happy. She kept insisting on guarding the door and whining until they came back out. When they did, we all sat on a bench and she sat in front of us, as though she was guarding us. Yesterday we went shopping with my Mom and had a nice day. Unfortunately, on my way home someone drove through a red light and side-swiped my car. Thankfully, no one got hurt, the car is still driveable, and the police officer gave her a ticket. It's just an inconvenience having to get the car repaired. I hope everyone is having a good week. Please check-in and let us know.

We have had 3 weeks of pleasant weather. The windows have been open, it's really been great. Several days were rainy but that's OK. The nice weather is continuing this week but Thursday we're supposed to get our first heat wave. Not looking forward to it.

Glad your car is still drivable. You certainly didn't need this to happen. It's time for life to give you a brake and get back on track..
I am still in Maryland visiting family. I will head back west on the 22nd. It has been nice to spend some quality time with my Great Grand kids, Grandson, and my daughter. I will sure miss all of the hugs..

Let me add that I am glad you are all ok. It is a scary thing to be hit, and although a car can be replaced where family can't, it's still good that you can get it fixed. Oddly when we lived in NJ (Livingston and West Caldwell) where two of my brothers and a sister still live, we never did the trips like you are. Though my Dad did take us to see Thomas Edison's place, which I vaguely recall as pretty neat.
T! Not far from me at all!! I hope you and your family have been safe from some of the awful storms we've had in the past couple of weeks.
As for me, I had to get a new version of Microsoft Office. It seems when I purchased my PC and then purchased Office 2019 pro, they gave me the "plus" version, which is not for public use. Lucky me, I got 3 years out of it before Microsoft told me it was an illegal copy and then crippled it. I could read and open files but could not create new ones or send e-mails. After many hours of online "chats" it was finally determined I had to purchase a new version from Microsoft.
Now here is the fun part, you have to delete 2019 before installing 2021 or there will be "issues". Actually the way it was explained, there would be "ISSUES!". And lo and behold, there were!
It took me two days to get someone in support to help. Before I go into THAT tale, let me inform you all that you should never, I mean NEVER, tell the AI what you are calling for. Always say (or scream) Representative! Why? Glad you asked, it seems I foolishly mentioned support and that it was about Office. Bad RG, very bad. Now the AI informed me with a pleasant voice that all my problems can be corrected if I only go to a certain website and gave me the address. After giving me the address a second time it said goodbye and hung up. I called back and before I could say (or scream) Representative, the AI informed me once again about the wonderful website that will answer all my questions and concerns and hung up. So the AI remembered my phone number and I guess from now till I get a new number, it will always determine I am calling for Office support. 'Artificial' intelligence indeed.
Now to make a long story even longer, which many long timers here will recall I am very good at, I finally got to someone by calling the Microsoft Store in NYC, and was patched thru to a very nice man who was in Lagos, Nigeria. Now the only thing I recall about Lagos is that Paul McCartney was almost shot there recording Band on the Run, and it was a settlement after the Ashanti were beaten by the British (once again, long timers will remember I am a mine-full of useless information). Lucky for me it was a pleasant day in Nigeria because my support person was in a good mood and had to spend 2 hours, yep that's right, 2 hours to remove all the 2019 files and install the 2021 files so there would be no "ISSUES".
I now have the pleasure of trying to remove OneDrive which is insidious and hides in places you would never think to look, because I am somewhat old fashioned and would like my documents, spreadsheets and photo's on MY computer rather than someone's server acting as a cloud. I've looked at clouds from both sides now, from up and down and still somehow I still prefer my stuff on my computer.
Later this month, as T is back home, Mrs. G and I will be driving down to NC where my oldest niece has purchased some horse property. She still lives in CT and I am here in VA, so guess who gets to go down more often to mow lawns and make sure things are ok? Yep, her favorite uncle RG.
So once again, Christine I am glad that you are all ok and hope that it doesn't cost much to fix the car. T, enjoy time with the kiddo's and have a safe trip back home, and hope everyone has a great week! As for me, I have ost files to find, folders to set up and onedrive to destroy completely...or at least till the next update brings it back to life.
Do you ever wonder if the Microsoft programmers are fans of the original Frankenstein movie? When they create something that will never go away they yell out, "It's Alive!"
Wow, and I haven't even had wine yet!

RG computers drive me crazy. I pay for microsoft office every year, so I don't have to transfer files. I had to get a whole new computer two years ago because I got hacked. My computer was so old it wasn't worth fixing, so I just got a new one. After my computer got hacked, I now take it down to Data Doctors every couple months. They made me automatically pay for a whole year of their service. So, why not take advantage. When I travel in my R. V. I take my laptop, my ipad and my phone to use online.

I remember, years ago when I started working, being told that computers were going to make things easier and better for us. They neglected to tell me that is was only for Psychiatrists and anyone who makes anti-anxiety drugs.
