I did have a nice birthday, thank you. I'm not much of a party person. Instead, I scheduled myself for a massage and facial which was lovely. (I had a gift card to a local spa that I'd been holding onto since Christmas just for this.) I also ordered my favorite sandwiches from a deli the next town over along with their bacon cheddar potato salad. I don't get it often, so that was a treat. Then the local AMC theater gives their club members free popcorn and soda for their birthday. We got it takeout as we were watching movies at home. They even gave us two buckets as it includes a free refill. My daughter gave me a new gardening bag and tools as my old one was looking pretty ragged. There are a couple more gifts that were delayed but should arrive soon. My sister's birthday is the same week as mine (just three years apart), and she and her daughter are here for a couple of days after flying back from their vacation in Paris. So we'll be having a joint birthday celebration tonight.  |
