Did anyone else think this was one of the stupidest episodes of the series?
I know there needs to be obstacles to any wedding, but every one of these were just ridiculous.
-Randy staying at Nolan and Bailey's in place of his brother, Pete. -Randy "accidentally" selling Bailey's ring to a pawn broker. -Bradford agreeing to fight a known felon to get the ring back. (I hope they turned their bodycams off.) -The florist cancelling the entire order because no one picked up their phone the day before the wedding. (Most florists require full payment by this time.) -Celina heading to pick up the CI without telling anyone, even though every cop she works with was at the reception. -Nolan pushing a guy out a window as a distraction.
Every scene just seem more absurd than the last.
I'm not Nolan and Bailey's biggest fan, but it felt like they did everything possible to take the focus off of their wedding.

You captured the full essence of the episode! I thought is was a disjointed mess and the worst Rookie show of the series. There is NO chemistry between the characters and no reason to have a wedding. Oh what could've been for Castle and Beckett. Epic failure!

I totally agree that Nolan and Bailey have no chemistry. I have no idea why there was such a rush to get them married. I'm glad I wasn't invested in their wedding because I would have been sorely disappointed. I generally have no desire to see Randy at all let alone at a wedding. I also was never into Tim and Lucy and their relationship doesn't inspire me. Tim just seems so much older than her and she still acts like a kid half the time. I'm really not as excited about this show as I was at first.

Lucy has been insecure about the Detective's exam and projecting that onto Tim. And then, even though Tim has been nothing but supportive, they made it look like she was right because of one response on a lie detector test. The whole thing was irritating. I generally like Jenna Dewan who plays Bailey, but she and Nathan Fillion are just cute. They really don't have a lot of chemistry. I like Angela and Wesley the best, but they've hardly gotten any air time so far. With only two episodes in, this is looking like a subpar season so far.

All the wedding disasters were ridiculous as you mentioned but what was the deal with the brass band escorting the bride to the altar? That seemed so unlike them and out of place. Did anyone else think it made sense?

Did anyone else think it made sense? Yeah, that was kind of cute, but as we were given no reason for that choice it felt completely random and a bit strange. It just felt like they were trying to make this episode as wacky as possible with little to no grounding in character or reality. I'm sure there are fans who probably loved it, but I expected better.
