Hi All, So who watched the Superbowl last night? We're not big football fans, but we generally watch for the commercials and the halftime show. And this year, for the Taylor Swift sightings as my daughter is a big fan. But I thought it was one of the better Superbowl games and we had fun watching. But I thought the audio was off for the halftime show, which was annoying. Today, I had to cancel my morning plans to run the dog to the vet. She has an eye infection. It turns out that taking a dog to dog daycare is much like having a kid in nursery school. They all share germs. We're supposed to get some snow tonight. A big change from our almost 60 degree weather of the last few days. Once again, we're right on the line between getting 1 to 3 inches or 3 to 6 inches. No matter what we get, I just hope it melts quickly. So how is your week starting out. Check-in and let us know.

I am camping about 60 miles from home. We had snow the 1st 2 nights. The first night was a nice light dusting of a couple of inches that I swept of my car with a broom. I even made a mini snowman ⛄️. I actually used my furnace in the RV as my little electric heater wasn't enough. My kitties were sure snuggling. Second night the dusting was so small that the wipers got the snow off. Today is a beautiful day with snow covered hills/mountains around. We all gathered in one members big 5th wheel RV to watch the superbowl as they have a satellite dish and enough room for everyone. Everyone was cheering for the 49ers except one lady. It was one of the best games.

tycho657, Our neighbors across the street had a big Superbowl party. They must have had a lot of 49ers fans because we could hear them cheering every time San Francisco did well. Our poor dog was very confused by all the yelling.

Well, we got our snow. Maybe about six inches. We spent the morning shoveling, but now it's about 40 degrees so everything is already starting to melt.

We had 3/4 inch of rain then 1 1/2 inch of snow. Temperature is now 45 but wind gusting to 30 mph. There is strange weather everywhere. We are going to a jazz concert tonight at local university. It has widely acclaimed music department. All their concerts have been really good. Yes, I enjoyed their opera too. Yahoo!!

Well, we are settled in our new place. It is our last move. We downsized into a large 1 bed-1 bath place. We are near the kids. We are both elderly so now when one of us goes, the other will be set. None of us likes to think about our mortality but it is a fact of life so a little preplanning helps all our loved ones. We have a nice sized pond for waterfowl and nice trees for birds which we very much enjoy. We went to a meet and greet at the clubhouse last evening and learned that there are a lot of activities here and many folks like ourselves. We feel it was a smart move at this time. Moving was a lot of work. We had to go through EVERYTHING and decide what to keep or donate. LOL, I was on a first name basis with the volunteers at Goodwill and St. Vincent De Paul. It is great to be able to relax and start enjoying life again.

Sounds like a good move. There are some good choices now when you want to downsize. Nice that you are near family. Enjoy your new place.

Your kids will have more peace of mind that you are nearby, especially if you have medical issues & start needing their help. I've been working for over a year trying to clear out 60 years of accumulation from my childhood home. Your children will be so grateful that you have done the downsizing and made their job easier. I hope you both meet a lot of nice people and enjoy your new activities.
