Hi All, I just had some oral surgery today and I feel like someone punched me in the mouth! Hopefully, it will get better soon, but I'm not looking forward to the mostly liquid diet the next couple of days. Our dog finally got to have her e-collar officially removed after two weeks of recovery. She chewed through three of them in that time. She seems really happy to be allowed her regular activities again. We've had nonstop rain over the last 24+ hours, which has caused lots of flooding. We're fine in our home, but the river has overflowed its banks and is right up to the bottom of the nearby bridge. The rain has pretty much stopped so the water should subside tomorrow. So, how are things where you are? Do you have any holiday plans coming up? Check-in and let us know.

I may have just wrapped the last present, although it's likely I'll stumble across something that was well-hidden or maybe even buy something else. I have never been done so early. Tomorrow I'll have to start on a million cookies (we've already eaten most of the 1st 2 batches).
Feel better PTVJ.

Thanks, ibmjas. My jaw is still sore, but much better than it was yesterday. And I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one prone to finding a present I hid a little too well at the last minute. We didn't get a tree until this past Sunday. Everything seems to be running late this year, but it's up and decorated now. I wrapped all of the presents for my daughter today while she was at school. I'll try and get the rest of the family presents done tomorrow. And I managed one more batch of cookies today, but there's a lot to go! And the dog got bored this afternoon and tore her Carhardt Chew Resistant bed to pieces. At least it lasted her through her recovery, but I don't plan on buying a new one and trying again for at least another six months. Hopefully, at some point, this chewing stage will end.

This time of year I have so many volunteer gigs going on. I wrap gifts for Kids Need to Read outside at the San Tan Village shopping area. Every store has their own store. I love this place as you can just drive up to the store you want or walk through the streets. St. Vincent DePaul does Christmas food boxes for families. We had 58 families this year. They get a nice Turkey, bag of potatoes, carrots, onion, plus a box of can goods and dried rice, beans ,cereal, etc. To go with the meal. I love that we give them more than just the dinner stuff. Friday is an event for the Arizona Humane society. Hopefully we will find some homes for a few dogs for Christmas.I will do a couple of days at the Musical Instrument Museum. We are getting a little rain today so the museum will be very busy. Their highest number of visitors are all rainy days. iI might make my Hoska Christmas bread tomorrow as my domino group is coming to my house for the afternoon. I can’t eat the loaf by myself. I made fudge and took it for helpers for the food boxes day. They didn’t eat it all so hopefully I can get rid of some of that too.
Dental work is usually a pain… I hope you recover fast.

We spent Thursday in the city seeing Aladdin on Broadway with my Mom, sister, and niece. It's a great show. We also saw the Macy's holiday windows and took a walk through the winter village at Bryant Park, which is always lovely. Today, I finally got the last of my presents wrapped! Tomorrow, I want to make one last batch of cookies, but everything else is mostly done...except that we have to give the dog a bath. This is a tag team sport. My husband and I do it together because there's no way one person could keep the dog in there and still get her washed. We'll try and get it done early in the day because we'll both need showers once we're done! But I am looking forward to spending Christmas Eve and Christmas day with family. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend.
