Hi All, Can you believe Memorial Day is almost upon us? We have no big plans for the upcoming holiday weekend. My daughter will have an extended holiday, as the school tacked on two extra days off because we never used our snow days. We just got an alert from local police that there are people posing as local cable company representatives who are trying to gain access to houses to rob them. Ugh. Things like that put everyone on edge. I look forward to having a dog in the house! But the weather looks good this week, so I hope to continue to make progress on the yard. There's just so much to do inside the house, outside, and for work, that I wonder if I'll feel like I've ever caught up. Now it's your turn. Please check in and let us know how things are going with you.

Just returned from camping in the mountains. We had hail just before I arrived. I saw white stuff under the trees and along the road. I was surprised to see that. When I drove into the camp area it was raining very hard. Of course my car decided to not come off of the connector. We had rain the first day and some of the 2nd day then it was beautiful. Just being up in the forest is always peaceful. We had a nice fire. Since we had all the rain it was safe to have fires. I am planning a big trip east to see my kiddos. I really hate to drive across country, especially with the gas prices, but I need some quality time with my Great Grand kids before they grow up. I will be in and out the next month as I travel and have unknown wifi.

I'm baaaaaaaaaack LOL, but we have been really busy. We just got back from a 5 day trip to Michigan. We took the carferry Badger both ways for fun and enjoyed the 60 mile cruise across. We visited Holland which is famous for its tulips and all things Dutch. The baked goods were fantastic and also the edam cheese! We also went to the Meijer Botanical Gardens in Grand Rapids which are nothing short of spectacular. We wish we would of had more time to spend there. Since we returned, we went to a track meet, band concert, and a baseball game tonight. Tomorrow, we finally get to spend a day at home. A couple weeks ago, we both had our semi-annual checkups and our docs are happy with us. We now get a reprieve til November when we get our annual checkups so life is good at this time Hope all of you are doing well. Have a wonderful trip, Teresa!!

I just decided on Tuesday to drive across country with my RV again to see my kiddos. I have a friend who will go to Indiana to see her Dad then down to Alabama to see her daughter who will be with me for the 1st 4 days. We might come back together if it works out. I figure I won't be able to do this much longer. I had oral surgery early Wed morning. There was something that showed up on the scan that had to be removed and sent into the lab in Iowa. He said it didn't look bad. I hope that is true. I am eating lots of soup, yogurt, and mac & cheese for a few days. Might as well drive across country...
