Hi Folks, I know I say this all the time, but time really does fly! How is it already May? After days of rain, and fairly intense rain yesterday, we are under a flood warning here. Some low-lying roads are closed as well as the bridge near me. The river is about a block and a half from me and from what I can see it is high but not overflowing, which is good. I think once we're through one tide cycle, we'll be in the clear. The sun is shining this morning, but as everything is still wet, my yardwork will have to wait. I feel so far behind on it all this year. Over the weekend, my daughter and I went to see the musical Anything Goes at our local high school. It was amazing! Some of these kids are exceptionally talented, and I was really impressed by the big song and dance numbers. Even the sets and costumes were impressive. I can only imagine the work that the kids and faculty members put into that show, but it was well worth it. The show we saw was completely sold out. And today is my Mom's first radiation treatment. Fingers crossed that all goes well. So, how is your week shaping up? Check in and let us know.

Hopefully all goes well for you mother's treatments.
We had three days of badly needed rain...and, it was really slow and soaking rain. Plants are looking amazing compared to just a few days ago. Of course, that means the 'opportunity' to begin yard work this week. However, I have two days with medical appointments that will keep me out of the yard part of the time.

Best wishes for your Mom, Christine! LOL, but we woke up to snow and snow on the ground today. It's 39 out and the snow isn't melting yet. It's a hell of a way to welcome May. We wanted to get out our lawn ornaments and put up our liquid bird feeders this week but guess we will wait another week! Lab tests this week and our semiannual checkups coming up soon. Time to hold our breaths again. We went to the Brewers game in Milwaukee with daughter and SIL Sat. night. It was their 17th wedding anniversary and we had a great time. Brewers won too Happy week to all!!

I got to golf last week for the 1st time this year. There were 20 mph winds (not an exaggeration). I did pretty well and was dressed warm enough. Today I golfed in a 4 person scramble. It was in the 60s and mostly sunny but the winds were 25-30 mph out of the north with 40mph gusts! It was unbelievable & unrelenting. I had to take a club I normally hit 110 yards to hit it 85 yards against the wind. We were cold and felt beat up by the time we got done. Hope the wind gets out of here soon.

Hope to hear positive results from your Mom's treatment. Got back from my latest RV trip. The folding this spring really changed the area surrounding the river near the campground. The cottonwood trees were in full bloom. It looked like snow in the air. I am allergic to cotton. Finally a good use for my covid masks. 30-40mph winds as I drove home yesterday. I was so wiped out from the campout and allergies that I went to bed at 4:30 🤪

Mom's first round of radiation went well. She was just a little tired the next day. Thank you for all the well wishes.
I can't believe how much rain we're getting. It's currently cool and cloudy out, with the possibility of showers later. I should get some yard work done, but I have real work to do, so it will just have to wait.
Did anyone watch the season finale of The Rookie last night? That was one intense episode!

MRI was easy...and, they had Frank Sinatra among the listening options! I have no idea when I know results.

Larryholmes MRI's are much better with good music. Hope the results get things worked out for you.
Yes the season final of The Rookie was indeed intense. Bill Roe directed the episode. He learned well from Rob Bowman from Castle who did all of the big intense episodes. I was starting to lose interest in this show but it really kicked it up with that episode. The spin off Rookie FBI is getting better but I think they may just cancel that one. The lead has finally toned down her outfits a bit. It was ridiculous the first few episodes all you could see was her large bust.
