Hi All,
Sorry, I forgot to post this. It's been a long week, and it's only Wednesday. I'm currently researching how to get rid of the old, patchy grass on our front lawn. Still deciding if we'll put down new sod or other plantings. And I feel like I'm losing the fight against the crazy amount of weeds in our flower beds this year.
And this morning, my husband woke me up in a panic because the washing machine had stopped, and the hot water heater was making a horrible noise. Not the kind of thing you want to wake up to at 6 am! Thankfully, neither machine was the problem. The water company was flushing the lines, and it caused the water pressure to go so low that there wasn't enough to fill the water heater and, therefore, the washer. Thankfully, the pressure came back in time for the laundry to be done before he had to go to work.
So, I hope your week is going well. Please check in and let us know.

I have not been looking on here much this week. I put up your birthday but forgot to do the How's your week post. I was suppose to go on an RV trip today but I just cancelled. I had issues with my "black" tank after the last campout. My RV guy came over yesterday and put something into the tank to help. I drove over last night to a gas station that has a dump station and got it cleaned out Unfortunately when I got home and tried to park at night (never did that before as I do it during the daylight) I hit the corner of the roof and broke my bedroom window and scraped the side of the RV!! I didn't want to chance it braking out as I drove down the road or had it brake and have rain come in the bedroom so I cancelled out the camping trip. I will need to get a replacement. I will not try and drive in after dark again. Glad to hear the good news on the heart test. Glad she realized the issue so you can keep an eye out in the future.

I am pleased that the washer was not the problem. You have had enough things recently!
Some boy in the high school which our two local grandkids attend, posted 'threating comments' along with picture of a gun on some website. It was immediately tracked and the kid who posted it was taken into custody quickly...possibly within minutes. He is saying it was not '...a for real threat...'. Nevertheless, the local rage and turmoil certainly has everyone's attention. No further information is being released at this time. Notwithstanding two tours in Vietnam, this is really startling and frightening.

tycho657, Oh no! I'm sorry for your RV, your roof, and your nerves. Hopefully, it can be repaired quickly and you can get back out on the road. larryholmes, Yes, that is scary. These things happen far too often. I'm glad your school district and law enforcement reacted so fast. When I was in high school, we'd have the occasional bomb threat called in. It was usually some kid who forgot to study for a test. Who knew I'd look back on that as the good ole days? Now, my daughter has regular active shooter drills, and the school district has hired retired police officers and put them through a special training program for school safety. geezer2008, have you seen the movie, A Good Person with Morgan Freeman and Florence Pugh? Todd was working, and Kate had a party, so I was able to sneak out to a movie. It's a drama about grief, addiction, and forgiveness, but I really enjoyed it. Florence Pugh did a fantastic job in her role. Plus, it was filmed here in NJ in towns I know well, so it had a very Jersey feel to it.

Today was a beautiful day and probably made it into the 70s! I cut the grass and weeded the landscaping. I saw a couple of baby fireflys! I have a few spring flowers. Love it!

The week started out with some happy news. Our daughter and her husband came over for dinner last Sunday and told us we're going to be grandparents some time in late October. This will be our first grandchild.
We had an 82 degree day Wednesday. Then a storm came through and the temp dropped more than 20 degrees. Stayed in the 50s all day Thursday. It's supposed to warm up again this coming week. With all the rain we've had recently, the desert is in bloom and it's beautiful. Our rosebush should have signs of blossoms soon.
Christine, I'm happy your daughter received good news regarding her heart. What a relief that must've been!
Have a good weekend everyone.
