One thing I can say for sure, Mrs. G will be seeing that movie!  She LOVES the show and binge watched every episode a few years back.  Funny thing, in the make believe world of TV, the way Monk behaved with sanitary wipes and sprays, masks, etc... turned out to be our reality during Covid.  Perhaps time traveling writers and producers for the show?  Hmmm, something to think about.

I watched the new Monk movie. I was excited for it. Although most of the cast returned, it's obvious the writers didn't. They left Monk in such a great place when the series wrapped, but supposedly the pandemic set him way back. Randy and Natalie are both extremely inept. Monk isn't interested in any cases any more although they come up with one he can't turn down. In the end they leave it open for another movie. I love the characters so I had to watch it but it was disappointing.

Agree it was ok but looks like more might be coming. They probably didn't get the writers back from the show. That makes a big difference.
