Hi All, I can't believe March is almost half gone. This year is flying by. But on the upside, we've avoided the snow so far. (And I'm hoping I didn't just jinx myself by writing that sentence.) We've mostly had either rain (which it's doing right now) or sleet. ibmjas, I hope your poison ivy is getting better. geezer2008, I want your review on Cocaine Bear! tycho657, I hope your latest RV trip is going well. My husband and I are trying to figure out what to do with our front yard. It's small, but the lawn looks kind of ratty. No matter what I did last year, I just couldn't fix the patches and was constantly fighting weeds. I think we should pull out the lawn and put in low-maintenance, drought-resistant plants (the front yard gets constant afternoon sun.) Todd thinks we should just tear out the old grass and re-sod. With spring fast approaching, I feel like we need to make a decision soon. larryholmes, you're our expert gardener. Any advice? Today, I have to make an appointment for my daughter to see the pediatric cardiologist in NYC for a stress test. It seems every time we get test results back, they say that they don't think it's serious, but it is unusual, and they want to run more tests. So we just continue to hold our breath and wait and hope for the best. So, now it's your turn. Check in and let us know how your week is going.

Thanks, but I am an instruction follower. Honestly, Dawn is the one who knows about lawns and plants. I am especially drawn to her selection of roses. We even have some hollyhocks...which I have always liked. Those are in our back yard. All the best for your daughter's examination.

Yup. That's why the first season was only ten episodes.

I finished up with my women's camping group today and am now camping with my other group. Both were "dry" camping which means no electric, water, or sewer dump at the campsites. The weather has been wonderful not too cold and not too hot. They say rain is coming on Wednesday. My RV needs to get the dirt off from last month's trip so maybe I can wash it when it rains? My solar panels are keeping my batteries charged up nicely. I only run my generator to make my espresso in the morning.I have to have my latte in the morning.
I hope the Docs can finally give you positive news on K's heart ❤️. I bought 2 firecracker cactus from a guy on the way to my campground today. I have been looking for some to put in my back yard. I also need to get my garden going next week for sure.

Well, we have an appointment for Kate for her stress test and to see the new specialist. Since it will be multiple appointments at the hospital in NYC, I'm sure it will be a long day. The only downside is that the soonest appointment they have is for 8 am on my birthday! So we'll be up very early (have to leave no later than 6 am to beat rush hour traffic). The forecast calls for about an inch of snow today, but it's not doing anything yet unless you count the wind, which is about 15 miles per hour. I'm grateful we got the roof fixed.

It snowed all day yesterday, but thankfully, none of it stuck. I will say the flurries were pretty and our cat kept jumping at the window to try and catch them as they came down, which was great fun to watch. But this wind! We've had 15 to 20 mph winds since yesterday. Some neighborhoods lost power because wires were knocked down but so far, we've been fine. I just can't wait until this wind gets back to normal.

Just wind here...so, difficult wind-chill. Already had 45 mph gusts today. Supposed to calm-down to 25-30 mph this afternoon. I guess this is make-up for less than a foot of snow this Winter.

It's been down in the low 20s every night this week. My daffodils are bravely trying to stand up to the cold but they are starting to look a little raggedy. Next week I'm sure I'll have to cut the grass since it got fairly long in the nice weather we had in February. Spring's around the corner!
I got my taxes off to my accountant today so I'm relieved about that. I had to put my brother into assisted living last year so now I have to work on his taxes. It makes me nervous. I don't know how much info I will be missing. He can't remember enough about his business to be helpful. I really hate dealing with all that anyway.

Another wave of storms is heading east. We had rain and wind all day yesterday but thankfully it was sunny and calm today for my drive home. March is birthday month for my daughter and Granddaughter. I just saw a post from my Granddaughter announcing that her first book was up for sale on Amazon "The Way You Are:Affirmation Coloring & Activity Book" by T'Keyah Spicer $6.95 I have mine on order. This is the kind of activities they do with their 3 children.

LOL, Christine. Cocaine Bear is just a fun, bloody, unbelievable B grade movie. Brings back memories of such "great" movies like Ice Spiders and Sharknado on Syfy We got gobsmacked the other day. We have had 62 inches of snow this year which is like 20 inches more than normal. It must be because it came in dribs and drabs all winter. We only had 2 decent like storms. Also, it would melt and it seemed like such an easy winter. Sure fooled us Life's been good. Staying busy and entertained. Our latest project is going through a lifetime of photo albums. We are trying to get it down to a reasonable amount. It's harder than you think. Our whole lives are in there and it's a lot of laughter and tears as we look at our lives
