Hi All, Happy last two days of February. Knowing we're heading into March makes me hopeful for spring. Unfortunately, they've predicted a "wintery mix" for us Monday afternoon into Tuesday." I'm not quite sure what that will mean but I'll keep you posted. In other news, my Mom saw her oncologist, and things look good. The cancer was stage 1 and hadn't spread. They're recommending three rounds of radiation just to be safe. If they do that, they expect her chance of recurrence to be 5% or less. Mom is nervous about the radiation, but overall, this was probably the best possible outcome. Now it's your turn. Check-in and let us know how things are going where you are...

That is a wonderful report about your mother!
Hopefully, we can begin to see strong and continuing evidence of Spring approaching. There are lots of fresh green stems appearing all over the yard and some flowers. Dawn and I had our 56th wedding anniversary last week. She is still a very patient person.

Great news on your Mom. Hopefully this is the start of a better year for you. My TV died over the weekend. I knew I should have snagged a new one on Black Friday. Oh well. One more expense

So happy for you and your Mom I had 40 rounds of radiation and had no side effects til towards the end when I got tired. High hopes that it is easy for your Mom too!! LOL, but I feel like we are in a different state than Nathanfan instead of just across the State! We finally had 11 inches of snow last week and it is now acting like winter here. Typically, we only have about 6 more weeks of winter after March 1. Our winter has been easy compared to what Bobbie and Steve have had. Go figure!

We've had a really easy winter with temps in the 60s a lot and some in the 70s, but for as long as I can remember, we always get snow in March so we'll see what happens.

Well, we got our wintry mix. We had snow and sleet all night, which turned to rain in the morning. The kids got a delayed opening, which was nice. Thankfully, none of it lasted long. The roads are all clear. We're supposed to be up to 50 degrees tomorrow and close to 60 on Thursday!
But tonight's forecast calls for patches of icy fog. What on earth is icy fog?

I'm glad your mom got a good report. Waiting for results is always hard.
It's hard to believe another winter storm is heading our way! Flagstaff could get another 1 to 2 feet of snow, while we should get about a half inch of rain in the desert. Luckily we'll be in the low 70s for the weekend. My husband and I don't remember a winter like this one in the 42+ years we've lived in AZ. The ground barely gets dried out before another storm hits. The weeds are loving it and we'll have our work cut out for us once things stay dried out.

ProudTVJunkie , glad to hear the optimistic outlook for your mom! I'll echo tycho657 that hopefully this year will be a better and calmer year for you! larryholmes , contratulations on your 56th wedding anniversary!!!!! and hopefully your wife will continue to be a patient person ! I'm happy to say our wintry mix turned out to be mainly 4+" of "light" snow just a slight dash of wintry mix (not back braking-type shoveling). Just checked forecast for today/Thur/Fri and it includes showers, few flurries or snow showers, rain or freezing rain, rain, watching potential winter storm, snow likely....luckily not the extremes that parts of the US are getting.
And spring is only 19 days away!!!! Not sure what breed this bunny is but love the coloring...
