I still can't believe we are in the year 2023 Where does time go? I am trying to find a new person to do my taxes. The lady who has been doing them has finally retired. I know I could probably use Turgo Tax but I would rather just pay someone to do it for me. I also got a new cleaning lady. The one I have been using burned her last bridge last month. She showed up at 2 instead of 9am and brought a new person with her. Her English was very weak. I didn't mind that but she would pretend to know what I said instead of just asking for me to explain it again. My new lady is the mother of 8 and wanted something flexible so she can do things with her kids. I love that and she lives close by. Next week I'm off camping again as the new year starts off. There is a large gathering of RV's in Quartzite Arizona. If you saw the movie a couple of years back about the nomade lady they talk about Quartzite. You see all kinds of RV people up there. We are expecting 190 rigs with my RVing Women's group from all over. Unless it rains I plan on going next week on Thursday. If it rains I will camp with my other group in an RV park with full hook-ups.

I'm with you tycho. I would rather pay somebody than do my own taxes. No fuss, no muss. Just get the numbers together and let her work her magic. Rikki had an MRI yesterday. The doc called later in the day and all looks good. Now, she just needs her semiannual mammogram on Thursday. If that looks good, we can breathe for another 6 months. We encourage you all to see your doctor regularly. If not for regular checkups and tests, Rikki would not be here. She has had cancer 3 times and all were caught in an early stage. I had cancer once and get tested twice a year also. We are very thankful for the extra time we have had!! Nuf of that. We hope you all had wonderful holidays. Ours were very nice. We are glad that things are finally getting back to a slower pace. We are actually going to a movie tomorrow. We are going to see A Man Called Otto with Tom Hanks. Next week, we would like to see the new Avatar movie and take the twins. We are having the weirdest winter. Most of our snow is gone and it looks like early Spring out. Temps are supposed to be about 10 degrees higher than normal for, at least, the next 10 days. That will take the rest of our snow. Go figure Hope you all have a good week

tycho657, thanks for starting this thread. Yesterday got away from me. I was supposed to meet a friend for coffee in the morning, but she got a flat tire. I just so happen to have a portable air compressor, so I drove out and found her, filled the tire and then followed her to the tire place. We did eventually get our coffee and catch up, it just took longer than expected. Yesterday, my husband and I were supposed to have a date night. The local movie theater was showing Casablanca. I love the movie but he'd never seen it. Kate was supposed to go to her friend's house, but the younger sibling was sick, so that part of the plan was cancelled. Kate is old enough to stay home alone for a few hours but we've had some strange incidents in our neighborhood with a mentally ill man, and I didn't want to risk anything happening while we were gone. So date night turned into family night, which was still fun. Todd and Kate both like the movie. It's a classic for a reason. Also, I don't know if I mentioned it, but we got a Hydro rower. We actually bought it last summer when they had a great sale price, but with our renovations it's been sitting in a box since then. Well, we got it set up for the new year. It's unique. Similar to the Peleton bike, there's a screen and different instructors. I just finished the Learn to Row sequence and liked it. They row on rivers all over the world so it's fun to see the scenery. Also, it's no impact yet uses lots of core and muscle groups. So far, I'm enjoying it...well, as much as I've ever enjoyed any exercise. Hope you're all having a good week. Please check in and let us know.

Just got home from watching the new Avatar movie. A group of my camping friends who get together on Tuesdays for coffee all went. I did like it. Cameron has an amazing imagination. I would think the forest was much easier than shooting in water now. Looks like the next chapter will continue with water. I have never seen Casablanca. I really should seek that out and watch it.
