Hi All, It's Thanksgiving Week (for those of you in the U.S.). I can't help feeling that Christmas will be here before we know it. Yesterday, we finally moved back into our bedrooms and it felt so good to sleep in a bed once again after weeks on the sofa. My back is already much happier. But there's still a lot to do to get things in order. Today we'll be moving our dressers back and then cleaning up all the construction dust that seems to have gotten everywhere. It's cold here. It was 19 degrees this morning but at least the wind has died down. Over the weekend we had 15 mile an hour winds and that just made it feel much colder. I'm currently making my grocery list for the holiday. I'm making my family's traditional Sour Cream Apple Pie, stuffed mushrooms and a couple of other sides to bring to my Mom's on Thursday. Check in and let us know what your week looks like.

I am helping with St. Vincent with our yearly “Turkey Tuesday” food boxes for family’s. We have 54 families as of today. We won’t have enough turkey’s this year so we are giving gift cards for $25 to hopefully let them buy a Turkey or other meat for their dinner. We give them 2 banana boxes filled with food like, canned fruit, vegetables, pasta sauce, soup, cereal, pb&j,instant potatoes(usually fresh but we had a couple of cases of instant this year) fresh celery, carrots, an onion. We don’t have pies or cake this year either. I will probably be in charge of the Christmas food boxes this year if no one steps up. I am really trying to not say “yes” to so much.

Kudos to you, Teresa!! When we moved to Green Bay 12 years ago, I started volunteering At DePere Christian Outreach Food Pantry. I helped there for 10 years and eventually became VP of the Pantry. When I finally "retired", we were feeding over 300 families. I never regretted a moment of my time volunteering and was thankful for the opportunity to help those who needed it.
