Hi All, First off, I have to say to tycho657, that you had quite an adventure last week filled with ups and downs! So happy you got to spend Halloween with your family and see the little ones in their costumes. My husband had a deer run into his car on the highway some years back and it was a scary experience. I remember the insurance adjuster pulling out bits of fur from the cracks to prove it was actually a deer. I'm so glad you finally got to see a Broadway show. One of the perks of living so close to NYC is that I've gotten to go to Broadway since I was a teenager. My mother, sister, and I would stand in the half-price ticket line in Times Square where you can get same-day tickets for anything that hasn't sold out. We saw some great shows that way over the years. (Chorus Line, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserable, etc.) I wish I could go in more for Broadway shows, but the cost adds up fast. Still, we try to do it at least once a year. And yes, you never know how the trains will run. Everyone talks about how we need more mass transportation, and I generally agree, but it needs to be well maintained so there aren't so many breakdowns. That said, I'd still rather drive if given the option. So what is everyone else up to this week. Please, check-in and let us know.

My husband and I voted today. We like avoiding the crowds. It might be time for us to get on the early ballot list. We'll be glued to the TV tomorrow night since so many of the races are extremely tight. There are also several important propositions on the ballot. The end of political ads and texts can't come soon enough, lol.
Another storm is headed our way. The winds are supposed to increase and the clouds should start rolling in late tomorrow night. Not much rain is expected although it'll be a cold storm. I did have to turn on the heat last week. It was in the low 40s overnight Fri and Sat.

We've been lucky. It got up to 75 degrees yesterday. Very unusual for us for November, but I'll take it! But I think the temperature will be dropping soon.
Yesterday, we were supposed to have our new refrigerator delivered. We ordered it while it was on sale on Labor Day and knew it was backordered. They scheduled the delivery for Monday and we even got a text on Saturday saying the delivery would take place between 7am and 1pm this Monday. But Monday came and no one showed up. We called, and customer service was clueless. They didn't think any were in stock and didn't know why our delivery had been scheduled but had no other info.
Then we got an email saying our delivery was rescheduled for this Wednesday, and we'd get a text today with the time frame. So now we wait and see if anything shows up tomorrow. Thankfully, I work from home or this could be a real problem.
I'm also happy I didn't get rid of the old refrigerator yet. Our Electric company has a program through the end of the month where they will take and recycle your old fridge and give you a $100 credit on your bill! I was going to have them come on Monday afternoon but decided to wait until the new fridge was in. Now, I'm really glad I waited!

Monday I started driving across country with my friend from Rhode Island to Arizona. She wanted to get her car out to AZ before the snow hits. We are doing 600+ miles a day. This is not my favorite way to travel. At least I can say I did this once. I prefer to go slower and stop and see things. Tonight we are in Forrest City, AK. Hope to be back home in 3 days.

Our weeks have been quite busy lately. We have had something to do almost daily for the last couple of weeks. Today was our memory class. Tomorrow is Book Club and I am doing the author this month. Each of us takes an author that we enjoy and gives a talk about them. Your turn comes up about once a year so it isn't a chore. Friday, I have my annual Physical and that is always stressful. Saturday, we have to attend the funeral of a dear friend who died of cancer. Hope your week is good

Made it back to Arizona Thursday about 6. We still had some light from the sunset. Just going to relax for a few days and give my kitties some extra attention. They missed me.
