I thought it was a really good season premiere. Lots of excitement and some serious movement for Chenford fans.
Was anyone else watching?

I liked it but am not happy to see the crazy serial killer return. I can see her popping up in any episode now. The DA sure needs to be responsible for her escape. He just wanted the headlines for himself, now 3 more people or more are dead. Poor Lucy, she is strong but now she will be constantly be looking for Rosalind’s return. I figured Nolan would opt for the TO position. The show is called The Rookie so they really need to have a rookie storyline. With Nolan as a TO they can continue that storyline.

(SPOILERS ahead for anyone who hasn't seen the premiere.)
I'm a big fan of Annie Wersching, so I'm happy to see Rosalind Dyer back. And now that she's escaped, she can pop in and out all season. Plus, I'm curious if my theory is correct. I think Rosalind may have grabbed Tamara. Tamara said Lucy had texted her and said to meet her at home, but would she have done that and still invited Tim in?
I enjoyed the forward momentum for Tim and Lucy, but Lucy will now be eaten up with guilt knowing that Rosalind target Chris because of her.
And yes, I don't think there was any doubt that Nolan was going to use his golden ticket to become a Training Officer. Personally, I would have chosen the K9 unit or computer forensics, but that's me.

I'm really over the evil villain that can't be stopped storyline. I understand that it's easy for the show to fall back on an established villain so they don't have to come up with something new and provide new backstory but it's tired in my opinion and I'll be glad when her storyline ends if it ever will. Overall I thought it was a good episode.
I'm anxious to see Nolan as a TO and think it's good fit for him and glad he earned the golden ticket.
