ibmjas, There's nothing new from this fall that I'm excited about, but my family just caught up on Abbott Elementary, now in its second season, and we're really enjoying it. It's a sitcom about teachers in an inner city Philadelphia school and it is surprisingly funny and heartwarming. The entire first season is available on Hulu.

I just started watching The Recruit on Netflix. It's about a young, really smart guy who starts at the CIA and is quickly in over his head. I don't normally get into spy stuff but this is different. You just want to pull for this guy who is scrambling around trying to figure out how to do his job when no one is willing to help him and he keeps finding himself in dangerous situations. Who can he trust? OK, so this is an Alexi Hawley creation and apparently in the season finale the CIA director is ------- Nathan Fillion! The Recruit Check out this link which includes a trailer.

For anyone watching the new CBS shows East New York, So Help Me Todd, or Fire Country, all three have just been given full-season orders. Ruben Santiago-Hudson is a police officer in East New York. So far it's been a pretty good show.

I am enjoying all 3 shows. I don’t pay for the extra streaming channels except Amazon as it comes with my prime.

We just started watching Will Trent. Will is a special agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI). There is a lot of back story that I guess we will figure out over time. He was traumatized from his years in foster care and apparently everyone hates him because he snitched on coworkers but we don't really know that story. Of course he is gifted at analyzing a crime scene and seeing things no one else does. We're both liking it so far. It airs right after Rookie Feds.
So now the only shows we are watching from this year are Quantum Leap, Fire Country, Family Law, & Will Trent.

My husband and I also like Will Trent. We like that the storyline is continued in the next episode and not just the crime of the hour.
