Hi All, Well, the bathroom is finally done! Unfortunately, it went about $5K over the estimate because almost every pipe needed to be replaced, but I'm trying to tell myself that it had to be done, and hopefully, we won't have any more leaks in our future. But I think it looks pretty good. We went with white subway tile, grey walls, and grey floor tile to give it a simple, classic look. We can then choose any color towels and accessories we want. I'll attach photos below. I had planned on getting yardwork done today. There are still a lot of weeds and ivy to get rid of and trimming to do in the backyard. ibmjas, I was considering whether it's worth hiring a landscaper just to have them come get it all done for me and then move on from there. It feels like a waste, given that it's not a very big yard. But at the same time it seems like I can never quite get to it to get it all done. So how is everyone else's week going? Please, check in and let us know.

Nice clean look in the bathroom. I want to tackle our little masterbath next. Don't know when that will happen. If you just have weeding and trimming to do, maybe you could just hire a teenager or handyman to get it done.

Your updates are nice. I am trying to get rid of "stuff" that I don't need anymore. The problem is where to take it. I have been trying to sell a 170 bottle wine fridge. The compressor doesn't work to chill the wine and would need to be fixed so no one wants it. I just want it gone. I have been crocheting a new baby blanket for my new Great Grandson who is arriving in Dec. I will take it in person when I visit. The last one I made was stolen from my daughter's front porch!!! I am also starting a blanket for my RV bed. I figured while I was making these I might as well make one for my use I am not looking forward to the 1st episode of the Rookie bringing back the character who has created such turmoil again. It will be nice to have some new shows to watch again. I don't pay for extra channels so I am limited on what I can watch. I have been making Irish coffee's since I returned from my San Francisco trip. I just bought a couple of new specialty cups to make them. I had 2 from our honeymoon trip to Alaska. They served Irish Coffee the day we cruised thru Glacier Bay. We continue to have almost daily monsoon storms hit my area. It is nice to have rain almost daily. Thunder, lightning, and winds not so much. New irrigation is suppose to go in this Friday. It has been put off for a couple of weeks because my yard crew has been slammed cutting up trees that have gone down in people's yards. I hope he can come this week and also thin out my mesquite tree so I don't lose that in one of these storms.

We went to the annual air show in Atlantic City yesterday. There were planes dating back to WWI (as Kate put it, they had the Red Baron's plane like in the Snoopy cartoons), WWII fighter planes, a Coast Guard helicopter rescue presentation, Army helicopter maneuvers, Navy F18 fighter jets, and then the Air Force Thunderbirds. It was very cool. We were on the boardwalk, but there were lots of people on the beach and out on boats offshore. The event is free, and they say approximately 500,000 show up for it. Nothing can describe what it's like when those jets fly directly overhead! Here are a few photos...

We went through everything, updated old furniture, redecorated, and cleaned our place in the Spring so have just been having fun this summer. For our latest little adventure and last before school starts, we took the twins on a boat cruise out of Sister Bay in Door County. We held our breath but they really enjoyed it. They are 11 now and we encourage them to let us know what they like or not. This one they liked. They each got a turn at driving the boat too which was a hit with them. They stayed over and we had a great time talking about the upcoming school year and the things they are looking forward to and not. We feel blessed that they enjoy being open with us. Next week, Rikki and I are going back to Door County for a Tram Tour of the County. We did it once years ago and thought it would be fun to do it again. I took a 200 mile bike ride on Monday and rode some favorite roads. Mondays are my ride days as Rikki meets with her crafting group that day. The next 4 days are for relaxing. We will play with hobbies and just enjoy ourselves. LOL, it's "tough" being old and retired

Over 2 years ago, I ordered proof of military service from the National Archives. I finally got my stuff today. It brought back a flood of memories and it made me cry. I was proud of my Country and proud to serve. I cannot say the same today. I am worried for the direction that our country is headed. I won't be here but I am frightened for my kids and grandkids futures. Nuf said.
