Good Morning All, I hope everyone is doing well this week. We've finally gotten to spring! It was 70 yesterday and sunny. Today it's about 65 degrees and raining, but that beats snow any day. I've got a huge list of errands to run today, but as I didn't sleep well last night, I wish I could just go back to bed. Hope you're day is going well and you have a nice week. Please check-in and let us know.

Well, last night was my step-father's birthday. We had dinner and brought two cakes. He asked for a chocolate cake, so we decided to do a taste-off. One was a chocolate chiffon cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries from Paris Baguette (a French patisserie chain), and the other was a Pepperidge Farm chocolate fudge cake bought at the grocery store.
The chiffon was delicious and light but the fudge cake was more chocolatey. In the end, we couldn't decide which we liked better, so we just enjoyed both!

That sounds like the perfect solution to me!

I had my regular 6-8 week eye examination for status check on retinas. Well, the right eye is doing superbly...of course, the left eye has some abnormal 'mystery fluid' small bulid-up like the right eye formerly had. The doctor knew exactly what it is but not really sure why! Anyway, the doctor give the injection in my left eye this time. It may sound terrible but isn't. Of course, that does not imply that it is 'fun'. No pain even though the anxiety is real.

Chocolate is the best. Nice to have choices for the birthday. Eyes are important. Glad you are keeping them checked.
Spending the day sitting with a friend who has pancreatic cancer. They got her husband moved to a memory care facility 2 weeks ago. They are lucky their 4 kids are stepping up to provide care. I don’t think she has long.
Getting things loaded into the RV for my last 2 camping trips for the season. I start with one group this Sat then go to the next one on Thursday. I’m planning on staying home this summer and using my pool. I don’t heat it so summer is the only time I can use it. I love summers here.😎

I, too, have fluid in my eyes and have been getting treatments (injections) the last few years. The fluid is a result of being diabetic. There are worse things than having a needle stuck in your numbed eye (labor comes to mind). I was getting shots every 3 months. The last 2 visits were to make sure the fluid hasn't built up again. The worst part is waiting for the dilating drops to wear off.

Hum - thanks! I am sure they checked for diabetes in last physical. I'll see if eye doctor has ever checked about any of my physicals. Still, I certainly need to check. Too many things going on to allow anything to interrupt my plans.
