Hi Everyone, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was low-key which was nice. I'm sitting here looking at a bunch of work-work I need to get done, a bunch of estate paperwork I need to get through, and a lot of items I need to clean and donate to make space in our house before serious renovations begin in the next couple of weeks. So, I've got a busy week ahead. We finally got the lawn mowed this weekend. The electric lawn mower we bought wouldn't start because of a bad sensor, so we had to box it back up and return it to the store. Thankfully, the second one works perfectly. I managed to pull some weeds in the front yard but there's still a lot to do. I also found what I think was my grandmother's yellow rose bush. I thought it was long dead, but when I pulled the weeds away and began cutting away the dead branches, I found that a small part coming out of the ground was alive! It's only about a foot tall but I have hope that it will continue to grow. At least Spring is finally here. It's 50 degrees today and it looks like we'll reach 70 by the end of the week. And other than some more rain tonight, it looks like it will be sunny through the weekend! So how are things where you are? Check in and let us know.

We did yard work several days for endless hours last week. The results were super. Of course, we now are having snow here today! Man, it must be those scientists messing with the atmosphere by launching rockets into space ['long ago' concern from grandparents...yes, I really did hear that a couple times]. It is such a relief to have our son back home.

Now that our work is done, we are looking forward to a nice quiet week, just groceries and maybe a movie. LOL, but our weather is still wonky here in WI. Looking out our patio doors this morning at the No Swimming sign they put up last week was just wrong. Everything was covered in snow. Temps are lower than average so it has been snowing overnight and melting during the day when temps get in the 40's. We are supposed to have some warmer days towards the weekend. Sure hope so

We are going to fly to Denver next week to visit our son. Of course, now they decide to do away with the mask mandate. Nothing like being trapped in a crowded small space with a pandemic lurking. We're vaccinated so hopefully we'll be fine. I intend to wear my mask but my husband says he won't. Of course, he is the one that is immuno-compromised.

Back home from a nice trip with my women’s group. We were able to kayak, have peaceful campfire’s every night, and do some hiking. I only have one more RV trip in May then I am staying home this summer to enjoy my pool and clean out my house. I have so much “stuff” I don’t need anymore. Waiting for the weather to get up in to 100 so the pool heats up. I’m a wimp now and don’t like to swim if the water is not 83..lol

Sure hope so Geezer, I feel your pain! We had snow 3 days last week and have just now crawled into the 40's. Winter just won't let go. I'm so happy that all of your updating and redoing have been a success and now you guys surely do deserve some relaxing time. I've had a busy week with friends over for games a couple of times and another day when I seemed to be on the phone all afternoon. We lost the use of our computer for 2 days due to a crew laying cable along the highway we live on so I turned to my DVD player and enjoyed several Hallmark movies instead!

The wind let up earlier in the week so my husband could use the weed whacker. I'm with Teresa about the pool warming up. It's 74 and has another 10 degrees to go before we'll go for a swim. Our rose bush is thriving after all the winter rains. It has over 100 blossoms that are a deep red.
I got a summons in the mail for jury duty from the Federal District Court. It's for a grand jury, not the regular Superior Court I usually have to go to. Of all the millions of people in my county, it's funny how often I get summoned. The last time was 2 1/2 to 3 years ago and I didn't have to go due to the pandemic. This time I'm hoping to be excused due to my age.
