Hi All,
Well, the last two weeks have been tough but I'm hoping this week starts to look better.
On top of my Dad dying, my daughter and I came down with Covid last week. Talk about frustrating! Especially after almost two full years of being careful. I have no idea how I got it since I work from home and always wear a mask whenever I'm out. But I was the first one with symptoms, then my daughter two days later.
Thankfully, my husband seems to have somehow avoided it. We've been wearing masks at home since I first came down with symptoms (and wearing masks at home and even while we sleep is really annoying!) FYI, my rapid test was negative but my PCR test was positive. Two days later I took an at-home box test and it turned positive immediately. It started with a sore throat and headache and quickly led to a fever, aches, chills, and feeling like someone placed a brick on my chest.
I'm still not well, but I'm definitely better than I was a couple of days ago. But I have lots of things to do for my Dad's estate and Covid has really slowed me down.
So here's to this week getting better. Please let us know how your week is going. I need to hear what's happening in other people's lives!

I think you are ready for life to give you a brake. My daughter has covid with the same symptoms. She's been down for a week now. I hope your symptoms pass soon. I am camping this week near a large gathering for a huge RV show. I have decided to not attend this year. People who went said maybe 20% were wearing masks, no thank you.

The morning WCVB Boston weather forecast was a delight...hope this link works, the forecast is interspersed with snippets from The Office....
Here in north Central Massachusetts, it looks like 2+ feet but the "delightful" part is they claim it's going to be light and fluffty.....even 2 feet, if light and fluffy, definitely beats the last snowstorm of 6" with 2 inches of rain following....a back-breaking, soupy mess that HAD to be cleaned up right away because temps were going to be falling well below freezing for many days and if you left it, you would definitely be sorry.
I'll report back on Sunday!

That was great, Fjordmom. I hope it doesn't get as bad as they think it will, but you never know. In our area, I've seen predictions from 4" to 12". I'm not sure which I hate more, the cold, the snow, or the wind. This expression explains my feelings about winter perfectly.

Stay safe and stock up on hot chocolate. I made chili today after seeing the reports of the storm in the east. We had wind this morning with low 70’s the next few days.

Yesterday Dawn made soup with a ham-hock about the size of a soft ball. The dogs were at the door into the kitchen for more than two hours just sniffing and sniffing! We will have some more today...too bad again today dogs. Oh, I made the biscuits to go with it [thank you, Bisquick].

Well, our snow wasn't all that bad. A little less than six inches, but the wind makes it REALLY cold out there. How was it where you are?

Just a couple inches in Winchester. However, winds here must be like yours. Dogs are not happy at all with me taking out no matter how widely spaced the trips are.
