Since they added the Bailey character to the cast they have certainly thicken the plot with her jailbird husband returning.

I'm bummed about Bailey. I liked her character and the chemistry with Nolan. Nolan being Nolan, I think he will kick her to the curb. He doesn't like being lied to. He's been burned before with the Dr. he cared about. JMO

I feel like this is a "here we go again" moment, just like when Beckett had to get her wayward husband to sign divorce papers. Going through this the first time was enough for me. This was a bad decision on the show's part, IMO. There are so many other conflicts the writers could've chosen.
