Our fearless leader is home and recovering. Glad to hear all went well. Hope she has a smooth and fast recovery.
Fall is finally here. For some it looks like winter has arrived. This time of year is why so many people become “snowbirds” and fly south for the winter months. I always know when they start arriving because the license plates begin to change color..lol.

Hi All,
Sorry to fall off the grid for a bit. I had a reaction to some of the medication I've been on which caused two days of migraine headaches. Thankfully, we seem to have it under control now but I feel like I'm still trying to figure out what day it is.
On the upside, my Mom and step-father sent me an Edible Arrangement. That's the arrangement made completely of fruit but cut into pieces to look like flowers. It's so good! When I first saw it I thought it was huge but we've already eaten most of it.

Not sure if anyone is following the news out of British Columbia, Canada in regards to the flooding that's happened in the lower mainland over the weekend. It's not great. Landslides and washouts of major highways have effectively cut off the Fraser Valley/Lower mainland areas from the BC interior. There's also two towns in the interior that had suffered from flooding waterways.
Normally we might see this sort of thing in the spring during snow melt. But in a 48hr span one location received a month's total of rainfall.
I personally am okay. I'm not in any area that is really affected. The only hardship right now is the supply chain issue. People are acting like it's the start of 2020 all over again and panic buying.
BC declared another state of emergency (3rd one this year ... pandemic, fires and now floods) and so ... help will get into places where it is needed and things will eventually calm down - but in the meantime ... I just don't know.

So glad to hear that you're safe tefla! There have been so many natural disasters the past few years and I feel for all of the people impacted. This extreme weather is really scary.

Tesla glad you are safe. Keep a supply of basics on hand now at all times. Our world is changing. Western Washington, where I grew up, is also facing this rain crisis.

Hey PTVJ, you apparently forget about the volleyball tournament when you scheduled this surgery. You must be ready a couple days sooner than we thought. We will need you as our 'spiker'! Enough of my foolishness, we hope your recovery is getting on track.

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. I'm getting a bit better each day. I should be off most of the meds by next week. tefla, no, I hadn't seen anything about what was happening in BC. That's horrible. I'm glad you're safe. However, I was watching how the main blvd in Miami was under two feet of water and how that's happening more and more often now. Maybe we should all be buying boats!
