How's everyone doing?
We've got a busy week here. I go in for surgery this Wednesday so there's lots to do to get everything ready before that. My daughter will be staying at a friend's for a few days so we've got to get her packed. There's lots of laundry to do and I'm trying to get plenty of meals in the freezer so it will be easy to just heat them up later on.
In more fun news, my brother-in-law ran in the NYC Marathon yesterday. He completed the 26.2 miles in 5 hours 1 minute and 47 seconds. The runners wear trackers now and you can follow along online, so it was fun to track his progress.
It was only in the 30s when I woke up this morning. Thankfully, it will still get up into the 60s later, but Fall is definitely in full swing.
So how are things for all of you? Check in and let us know.

I'm camping again. We are outside doing our games and meals.50's in the mornings and 70's to 80's in the afternoons. This is why I love Arizona. They actually have streaming free wifi at this fairgrounds so I was able to watch the Rookie and the Equalizer on Sunday night.

I head to the hospital early tomorrow morning so I'm getting to bed early tonight. I won't be around for the next couple of days so please help tycho657 hold down the fort while I'm gone.

Surprisingly I had free streaming WiFi at the county park where I was RVing this week. I was able to get a wonderful Facetime with my Great Grand kiddos. I was able to walk around and show them the campfire, RV's and my friends could say "Hi" to them. I don't think that will happen very often. It was fun.

Hope your surgery went well, Christine. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!!!!
We've had a good week. I had my annual physical and cancer checkup this week. All went well. LOL, my doc said I was in good health for an old guy. We had Book Club yesterday and went shopping and to lunch on Wednesday.

Hi All,
I'm back home. The surgery went well, I'm just loopy from the pain meds. I'll try and update more later. Thanks for all the well wishes!

After each knee replacement and two rebuilds of my right ankle, that was how I felt each time. Dawn told people I was often like that; in fact, I was usually like that. Anyway, please take it easy and follow the doctor's instructions! Really pleased to hear that it went well for you.

ProudTVJunkie, happy to hear your surgery went well and hope your loopiness goes away, at least from the pain medicines!! Hope your recovery goes quickly for you.
geezer2008, great to hear your physical and cancer checkup went well!
Nothing too exciting here, goats had their annual exam and shots, happy to say I have a new vet I really like who seems very down to earth and well-versed in regard to goat health! The farrier came and trimmed all their hooves so they're all set for the winter months.
STILL getting pots and plants and "stuff" put away for winter, I can procrastinate "until the cows some home" as they say -- which is a problem, because there are no cows here . The final push for me to get it all done usually is the threat of snow. Leaf blowing is in order this week, now that most of the leaves have come down. I don't mind doing it too much, but we keep having rain so moving wet leaves isn't much fun.
Nice to hear that everyone here is doing well.
