If others of you enjoy reading Holiday Novels, please share your reading with us I'll start it off: 1. Christmas At Yuletide Farm by Megan Squires. Bobbie recommended this to me and I enjoyed it. It's the story of a TV reporter with sort of a Dirty Jobs gig. She tries various jobs and reports on them. This time she is at a Xmas tree farm. A very fun read to start the Season. 2. The Santa Cruise by Fern Michaels. It's the story of 4 Women who take a singles cruise for professionals over the Holidays. None have significant others. They are looking for romance but learn more about themselves in this story. I really liked this book because it wasn't predictable like some. 3. Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber. IMO, this is the best holiday novel that she has put out in a while. This is the story of Lindy who has had a rough year. She goes home for the Holidays. To help cheer her up, her Mom produces a box with all her old letters to Santa. She has her read them, think about them, and then write a current letter to Santa. The story goes from there and is very enjoyable. Happy Reading and please share any goodies you find

Hey Pete! I was just thinking about this and here it popped up! Great minds! I've been reading Christmas books ever since my Christmas In July purchases so I'll have to go back and find my list to share some of the highlights. I've got 2 more left and will also check out your recommendations. Thanks for getting this started!

I love Debbie Macomber. I might have to get that one. I am currently reading a book for my women's RV book club for our Dec outing called "Dance of the Winnebagos" by Ann Charles. someone in the group knows the author and thought it might be fun for our group to read. Not a Christmas story but fun.

My pleasure, Bobbie With things the way they are in our world today, Xmas novels are a great way to get a little lift to our spirits!! I usually have 2 books going at a time. T he other book I am reading right now is The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman. It is the 2nd book in the Thursday Murder Club mysteries. The Club members are all in their 70's and live in a senior community. It is set in England. It is a wonderful read with a lot of humor involved. I highly recommend it for those of us of a certain age Happy reading !!

I've managed to squeeze in some reading time the past couple of weeks so I can share thoughts on these 3 book.
"Dear Santa" by Debbie Macomber - I agree with Geezer that this was one of her better books. Nice story with a bit of a different premise than the usual.
"A Christmas To Remember" by Jenny Hale - This is the story of a nanny working for a workaholic dad and how she helps him reconnect with his kids over the holidays. That's a pretty common plot but the story is well told and I enjoyed the personalities of the characters.
"We'll Always Have Christmas" by Jenny Hale - I enjoyed this one the most of all 3. It's about a woman and her son who move into a mansion to care for a wealthy old man who's going blind. There's actually a story within the story so it ran deeper than the usual light fare and I really enjoyed that.

Thanks Bobbie I will check them out. We watched Just 5 Minutes More last night. Rikki and I both enjoyed it a lot!!! My current reads are: 1. The Christmas Promise by Richard Paul Evans. His books are always my favorites of the Holiday Season. He has a wonderful way of touching the heart and weaving a story. 2. The Christmas Bookshop By Jenny Colgan. The setting is a musty old bookstore in Edinburg, Scotland. Good so far!
