So what did you think of The Rookie "Five Minutes" 4x02?
The show went back to lighter installment after the angst of Jackson's death and the drama of Lopez's abduction.
I'm not sure how I feel about the new rookie, Aaron Thornsen. It's an interesting twist, having a rookie police officer who was once accused of murder, but I don't feel connected to him just yet. We'll have to wait and see.
Bradford finally got his promotion to Sergeant. Tricia Hefler played a thief who reminded me a little Serena Kaye from Castle.
Lucy had Tamara move in with her, but had trouble changing Jackson's room. As much as I appreciated Tamara's artistic talent, the final effect made me dizzy. I also wondered if Lucy owns her apartment, because I've always needed special permission to paint anything wherever I've rented.
Wesley and Angela struggled to get some sleep with their new baby, something any new parent can relate to. And I liked that they call the baby Jack instead of Jackson.
And Nolan pursued Bailey. I generally like Bailey, but I feel no chemistry between these two characters. To me, she feels like a place-filler who was chosen to play Nolan's annual girlfriend and she'll likely be gone by next season so why get attached?
So, what did you think of the latest The Rookie?

I'm pretty much in agreement with your assessments. I'm not into Bailey either. She's rude, speaking poorly about her subordinates, then texting Nolan to end their relationship. I'm hoping she won't last the season but maybe I'll warm up to her.
I'm interested in Thornsen. I know Harper is mostly afraid his notoriety will be a big problem for doing the job. I'm glad she's more open to giving him a chance. I want to see more of him.
This episode was packed full of content, but it flowed seamlessly between the various stories and I felt did them all justice.
