Hi All, How is everybody? We're officially well into September now and it's gotten a bit cooler here (meaning 70s and low 80s for us), which is nice. We'll also be getting a lot of new TV in the next couple of weeks. I'll try and post the premiere dates for shows shortly. Is there anything particular you're looking forward to returning or a new show you plan to check out? It's my Dad's birthday, so we're getting together this evening for dinner and cake, which should be fun. Anything new happening where you are? Check in and let us know.

Just returned from my 1sr RV trip of the season. Williams is up in the high country so it was nice to open windows at night. The kitties enjoyed looking out the screen door in the morning. I too the train up and back to The Grand Canyon on Friday. It was a very restful day. I ate lunch at the hotel so I could eat, sip my wine, and view the canyon out the window. I took my bugle and played taps at sunset on Sat. For the campground. This week is filled with volunteering gigs. So glad to keep busy and help people where I can. I enjoyed watching the ladies US Open tennis. I had to watch on my phone but it was great. Nice to see the next generation coming forward.

It's been a while. Rikki had knee surgery on Aug. 9. Recovery is a journey. She is doing all her exercises as instructed to. Her PT is happy with her progress thus far. She wants her to start using a cane to get around the house, but continue to use a walker when we go somewhere. She is going grocery shopping with me this week and that will be her first major outing except for therapy since the operation. Pain still messes with her sleeping but that is improving s l o w l y which we are thankful for.
We had beautiful weather on Saturday so I was able to get out on my motorcycle for a few hours which was awesome.
Grandson is playing in a Fall baseball league so we can go to some of his games and watch from the car. He is happy for that and we are too!
We hope to go to a movie this week during off hours. We have missed our movies during recovery.

geezer2008, Please tell Rikki I hope she’s doing well. Knee surgery can be a tough one and not being able to sleep always makes things more difficult. I’m glad she’s doing her physical therapy. That seems to be the key to a good recovery. A movie! I’m jealous. It’s been far too long since I’ve sat in a theater to watch a movie and eat my popcorn.

My husband had his shoulder replaced in April. He golfed for the 1st time on Saturday. Shoulder worked fine but golf game needs work. We're entered in a couples tournament later this month. Hope it holds up golfing 2 days in a row.
Hope Rikki does well. The therapy is everything. Hubby had his knee replaced several years ago. I heard recently that his doctor no longer sends his patients to therapy but has a stationary bike delivered to their homes with a comprehensive exercise plan. It sounds like the patients are very happy with it.
PTVJ - I hope you find new affordable housing soon.
