Oops. I kind of forgot that it was time to post a new weekly thread. I guess it's been a busy day. I had my second Covid vaccine yesterday. Woohoo! . I woke up with a bit of a headache this morning but I took a couple of Tylenol and I was fine. No other side effects, and since it's been more than 24 hours I'm not expecting any. For anyone interested I got the Pfizer vaccine. I also had my final follow-up with my orthopedic surgeon. My new hip looks perfect and I'm done with physical therapy. Having the surgery was definitely the right decision. Just trying to walk was painful for over half of 2020, so I'm glad that's behind me. It looks like a busy week at work ahead of me, and I'm trying to get my daughter signed up for some summer camps. The school district runs several different camps and you sign up on a weekly bases. They've done a great job of adhering to Covid protocols throughout the school year and keeping everyone as safe as possible, so I expect that to continue with the camps, especially since the camps are mostly run by teachers. So far we're looking at a general sports/game camp, an art studio camp, and a basketball camp. Of course now I have to figure out how to pay for them! But I'm happy it looks like we won't have a repeat of last summer when everything was closed. Fingers crossed we're all on the long road to recovery. All right, now it's your turn. Check in and let us know how your week is looking...

I’m prepping for a big RV trip up to Wyoming and Montana in July. Finding my route and places to camp overnight. I am heading to the National FMCA Rally in Gillette, WY and then to the Escapade in Rock Springs a week later. From there I will go up to Montana to visit one of my good friends on her 20 acre ranch. I wonder if my wild cats will still be here when I return. My neighbor will feed them while I’m gone. If they would let me get close to them I could get them shots so they would be safer. How are you doing with gas in the east? Glad I have a full tank in my RV. That would be a problem in my RV if gas distribution is limited.

tycho657, where in Montana? My sister is moving back to Montana this summer. She got her Bachelor's degree from the University of Montana in Missoula. I was able to visit a couple of times and it's a really nice college town. My sister is thrilled to be moving her family back there.

Not the happiest of days...activations and temployments: younger son [the doctor] deployed to Germany yesterday; and, older son [the JAG lawyer] deploys to Kuwait today. That means an immediate family composed of two worried wives, five worried kids, and two worried parents. At least there is currently no known local hostility in either area.

Thank you all for your sacrifice and service. Our military always has, and always will, have my support. Everyone will be in my thoughts and prayers. Scary times.
