Out of the blue, my muse, who seemed to have abandoned me, returned for a brief visit. The story is called, "You say Cicada, and I say Cicadah" and that pretty much describes the whole thing.

Hi RG! Welcome back. Do you have a link for the story so we can check it out? Hope you're doing well.

I am so happy to have a new story from you 😎. I will save it for my next sift doing temp checks as that is a boring gig.

Seriously, RG, I read the story and now I can't stop singing "You say Cicada, and I say Cicadah." Very cute and something I can completely see Castle obsessing over.

Thank you all for the kind words. At this time we are still Cicada free although Mrs. G has arranged for our gutters to be cleaned tomorrow from all the oak tree seeds, in preparation for the dead cicada's she anticipates clogging up our downspouts. Neighbors are already worried about walking their dogs when the dogs will be trying to make a lunch out of the walk with all the partying bugs on the sidewalks and lawns. As for me, I have stocked up on wine and am ready to simply sit in the sunroom and watch as the once in 17 years phenomenon happens.
BTW, this makes my 77th post, and since my older brother used to think he was cool as a boy when he did this, it brought to my mind the song for 77 Sunset Strip, which he always sang and snapped his fingers to. Now as for snapping fingers, for me it was always the Adams Family, da da da dum, snap, snap, da da da dum, snap, snap, da da da dum, da da da dum, da da da dum, snap, snap. Ahh, you can't go wrong with the classics!
As my youngest nephew has learned to say, "Later Alligator!" Or as my youngest niece has learned to say, "NO!" I think I'll stick with my nephew.
