Hi All, I hope your having a good start to the week. We met up with my brother-in-law and his girlfriend yesterday for lunch (outdoor dining.) They live in NY so they have their vaccines already because NY has been 30+ for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, NJ is still 55+ until April 19th so my husband and I have yet to get ours. But it was great to see them and I wish we could get together more often. Remember how last week it felt like everything kept breaking at my house (car, dryer, bowl, African violet, and a bottle of glitter). I was hoping this week would take a turn for the better, but so far I seem to be on the same streak. Our house is over 100 years old and it has old plaster ceilings. Well, a big chunk of that plaster came crashing down on my daughter's bed! I'm just grateful she was at school at the time. It was such a mess and took all morning to clean. We know we need to move by this summer, but it feels like the Universe is making sure we don't forget it! tycho657, did your family make it to you safely? I hope you're having fun. Everyone, let us know how your week is going.

Sorry about your "bummer" streak, Christine. Hope things get better(THEY WILL) We are doing fairly well. Doctor appts. last week and this week for both of us. Did shopping today. It's nice not to feel as tense when we go out but still masking and distancing. We had our daughter and the twins over for lunch recently. It was wonderful to sit and talk and share pizza. It was only the second time in over a year that we got to hug and kiss our kids. I can't describe how GOOD that felt. The CDC guidelines said that was okay to do if the Grandparents are fully vaccinated. It'll just get better now as both Daughter and SIL have gotten their first shots I had my motorcycle picked up and taken to the shop. They are running a Spring Special and my choke cable broke at the end of last season. LOL, the bike shop is so slammed that it will be almost a month before it will be ready. This is a big dealer in our area and business has been unbelievable since covid started. After all, biking is mostly solitary so LOTS of people got into it. I stopped in last Fall and the showroom was almost empty. This is a room that holds about 75 bikes and they had sold almost everything. They also had bikes on backorder for people that wanted them for 2021. LOL, not all businesses are suffering Have a GOOD week everybody!!

My Grandson and his family left yesterday. I took the day to recover from the visit and all of the activities. We went to Legoland at the mall. It was great for the 1 and 3 yr old as it was scaled down from the real one in California. I took my grandson to that one the year after it opened. The next day was the Phoenix Suns basketball game. They are only at 1/3rd capacity so everyone had rows between people. The watchers were on people who were not eating and forgot to mask back up. It felt very safe. The next day was the mall aquarium (next to legoland) again it was perfect for these little ones. They had a touch pool with sea stars and a shark egg to touch. They could look up from a bubble in a few tanks to get the experience of swimming with the fish. They also had a tunnel thru the large tank that gave you the feel of snorkeling with the sea animals. At home we swam in the spa, the pool was too cold so I heated up the connected spa. The temp was 80 before I fired up the heater. The kids were fine with 80...parents wanted it hotter LOL. I made a lamb cake with my grandson. He loved that. We had plans to make train and dinosaur cookies but we ran out of time. Both kids enjoyed trying out instruments in my music room. They played the piano, tried the ukulele and Jembe drum. Mazi even made a good sound on my bugle. The last night we had a fire and made S’mores. My 2 cats were amazing with the little ones. Not one scratch or bite. They let them pet and play and loved it. They miss them too.
