ICYMI: ABC's Upfronts Presentation is Tues., May 12th at 4:00PM (ET) in New York City. Nathan and Jon have filmed a promo for the event.

If two people from Castle are doing a promo I think that is a very good sign that Castle will get a season 8

I will say one thing. If I was Stana I would NO WAY be thinking about contract signings knowing I was getting married and then filming a movie. I know my brain could no way deal with all of that at the same time!

I really do think Stana got the bumb end of the deal when ABC announced Nathan's signing. Just wasn't fair, especially now that we know she was planning a wedding. I dunno I feel like that was just not fair of ABC. So, I agree she had other things on her mind. I hope she is coming back full time. For me the show is the two of them. Neither without the other would make for "Castle." So, believe me my fingers are crossed!

I think they have said several times that they are not related with ABC or Milmar, but I don't know who they are

Which is good, because handling contract negotiations is her agent's job. :-)

I don't think it was a negotiating tactic, they just can't announce anything until the documents are signed. (Legal formality)

With all the bad press going on surrounding the lack of information they had some good news and put it out there to show progress was being made.

When you get down to it Stana's contract is likely the most complicated for the network to negotiate. She was a virtually unknown actress when they first signed her and her original contract likely reflected that.

In the course of eight years her star has risen exponentially, which necessitated a lot more negotiating than Nathan's did as his status really hasn't changed all that much.

Complicated negotiations that would have been moot if Nathan had decided not to stay.

Let's try not to assign motives to any of this. ABC wants this show, they have said so....but renegotiating contracts is a process, okay?

Very well put Shutterbug!!! Soon we will all know,and I really am looking forward to another year of acting by Stana and Nathan and the magic that they are so good at. I hope it becomes a reality!!!!
