I don't know how many military veterans we have here at PFJ but I wanted to acknowledge today and thank you for your service.
For those outside of the US, Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, the anniversary of the end of World War I. It honors persons who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
My Dad is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served during the Vietnam era, mid-1960s. He generally tells us the more entertaining stories of his time in service, but I know he lost friends over there.
So thank you to everyone who has served our country, past and present.

Thanks...US Army 1962-1984. Dawn was a nurse in the British Army. Our two sons are both serving...Chris is a JAG lawyer in Virginia National Guard and Nick is a doctor in Minnesota Army Reserve field evacuation hospital. Both of them have been deployed to Kuwait. Apparently, Chris may be deployed again in the Spring.

My dad served in WWII in the US Army Signal Corps. Every able-bodied man had to serve. He was 30 and older than most.
