No I have seen very large pods when I ws young. My Dad and I went fishing most nights on PUget Sound. I remember one time there must have been 40 or more orcas swimming around the boat. I LOVED it...Dad not so much since all of the salmon would be gone for the next couple of weeks. The resident orcas only east salmon.
