Sadly I find myself not watching Castle on a Wednesday night when it's scheduled, but Thursday or later. Soo not right. Last Action Hero I haven't got a clue what this episode was all about despite the fact that I have watched it 3 times!! Back to clueless Rick again with how Kate was feeling about leaving her apartment. At least we got a scene with Kate sharing how she felt with Lanie understanding what it meant. Loved excited Rick, behaving like a fan meeting his idols and not knowing what to wear. Nice touch with Kate leaving her mark in her apartment. (I believe that Stana now owns this piece of wood?) Bad Santa How did this episode end up on Castle? A blood oath with a mafia don? Really?? And now he owes Rick a favor? Suddenly a Castle tradition is to write a verse for their Christmas card? Where was Rick's? Once again the character that is an author and we don't get to see proof of that. I did like that once Kate got into it she was quite excited and liked that Rick didn't immediately tell her that they would no longer be working together and so not spoiling that moment. Loved the Lanie & Espo storyline and the understanding they reached with each other at the end. B.x

Castle P.I. I love the way that Martha & Kate interact. Martha seems to have completely accepted Kate as part of her family. I liked the way that they both commented on the fact that Rick was not wearing his p.j's. I liked the way that Rick was waving his licence around at the crime scene and 'playing' at being a P.I. I liked that Castle Jnr showed up again in Ryan. And when was the last time that we saw 'feeding the birds' only instead of being between Rick & Espo, it was Rick and Ryan. It was good to see Rick once again working things out for himself and solving things. I also loved how Rick protested when Kate would not share information with him. Nathan just has this way of saying it that makes me smile. I liked the scene of Kate with the boys and Alexis with her dad in his office. Also the timing between Nathan & Stana in speaking at the same time which followed the wine scene at the loft. Loved the happy smiles when they were in bed and then the reaction to the phone call between Kate & Ryan. Despite not being allowed on the case the way that Rick proved they had the wrong suspect and then Kate allowing him in on the arrest. And I loved the 'Sherlock Holmes' scene at the end except when was the last time that Rick gave Kate a present? Private Eye Caramba I like the way that Kate clued Martha in on Rick still being a P.I. But what was with Kate wearing her shirt buttoned all the way up? Loved bored Rick throwing pencils up at the ceiling. Soo Mulder! Enjoyed Kate playing along with Rick's P.I. in his office and getting frisky! And then back to Rick not continuing where they left off as he did in Clear & Present Danger when Kate was still awake. And hopefully S7 was the last that we will see of Ryan & Espo expecting payback from Rick whenever they do something for him. I mean how different from the time in Headhunters when they rescued Rick from the dangerous situation that Slaughter put them in. B.x

Sadly my enthusiasm for new episodes of Castle remains, "I will get around to them" and yet I will happily watch episodes from previous seasons that are also being shown at the same time. What I have enjoyed is Kate's support and encouragement of Rick being a PI.
I, Witness I liked this episode because this was when Rick seemed to finally realise what being a PI really meant. I liked how Kate didn't make Rick give up his potential client in the beginning because he had said that he would be at the loft all day. Totally love the way in which Kate says "Babe" because to me it just sounds so natural. I loved how Rick kept quiet when they went to see the husband after Rick had seen the 'dead' wife and the way he tried to get to the truth and didn't give up and the way that Kate tried to reassure him, support Rick throughout the investigation. I also loved that 'taking a nap' meant the same thing to them and the way in which Kate seemed to wrap herself around Rick at the end and he was more than happy to accommodate her. This time I had absolutely no interest in Espo's love life.
Resurrection Wow! Intense beginning of the 2 part episode which didn't let up. Once again Martha showed (for me at least) how much Kate is part of the family. I liked the brief talk about having children which seemed to take Rick by surprise but a subject which he seems open to discussing further. What I liked is how Rick & Kate were certain they had Jerry Tyson in their grasp but all the evidence that they managed to get said otherwise. For me, Neimann is far more unsettling than Jerry. It is the way that she smiled, just creepied me out. Both of them however knowing, believing that they had the upper hand over Rick & Kate. I can understand why Kate may have gone on her own to the potential victim because Jerry & Kelly were at the precinct but at the same time it was rather foolish. The way that Jerry & Kelly looked at Rick as the elevator doors closed, I wanted to know what happened next, but it didn't make me impatient to see what happened next.

Reckoning WOW RICK! Showing exactly how far he was willing to go for Kate. For me you got a glimpse of that Rick with Vulcan Simmons. When Kate had Simmons in interrogation. Usually Rick would back away from the criminals who held no fear for Kate, but not Simmons. Rick actually 'stepped up to the plate' not backing down when challenged by Simmons when they were still sitting down. And then once Espo had told Kate to stand down after she had shoved Simmons into the glass, Espo had to do the same with Rick as he took a step towards Simmons when challenged. The fact that Rick looked willing to shoot Jerry and then that absolutely heart breaking moment when Rick thought that he had failed to save Kate - again? Nathan just does those emotional scenes brilliantly. As for the take downs, awesome! The way that Rick outsmarted Jerry but also allowing Espo to kill him again said how far Rick would go for Kate. As for Kate taking down Kelly (I wonder if that scene was filmed) it didn't just seem like Kate making sure she had Kelly under control but made sure that she would never hurt anyone ever again. And it took Kate quite a while to recover. Once again the ending for me showed how much Kate has come to trust Rick. He is her rock, her 'solid ground'.
