It was a good episode but..really so many things that just wouldn’t have happened. 1. How could Armstrong take all of that stuff to Nolan’s, rip open his wall, put it in and fix it up that fast? Why would Nolan break up his walls when he could see and smell if there was fresh plaster? 2. Armstrong would be on administrative leave for shooting anyone, let alone a fellow officer. 3. Why would Nolan profess his love in front of a serial killer...I see a very stressful episode in the future as he has to try and save poor Grave from her. 4. Nyla should have been with John when he went to confront Armstrong. Hopefully she was telling Grey what was going on. 5. Please let the tech guy in Nolan(Nathan) come thru and tell me his phone was recording the confession of Armstrong. 6. Unless Nolan wants to start building his house again next year I can’t see him starting a fire to cover this up. I don’t think a fire would work as the police are knocking at the door. Also the area is so dry he would probably burn down the whole area.
I like that Tim wants to try and keep his relationship going. They make a nice couple.
The wedding with peach and pink should be fun. I hope she can tell them the colors she would like.
Jackson dealt with freaking out when there were gunshots in the field. Now with his friend getting shot right in front of him I see more job trauma coming next year. He is not OK and there will be fallout.
And last I have to say I really miss Rob Bowman directing these kind of episodes. He could pack so much into 43 min. It would feel like a full feature movie. Bill Rowe is good...but not as good as Rob.

I enjoyed the episode but I totally agree with Tycho on a few of the credibility issues. Nick being able to transfer all of the evidence to John's house and conceal it is pretty ridiculous. Also, Nick would have been immediately put on administrative leave after the shooting, as Tycho said.
I thought that John confronting Nick alone was a dumb move but not out of character for him. He likely felt he needed to hear Nick's side of the story and give him the chance to do the right thing, but John sometimes lets his feelings for someone cloud his judgement and this was surely one of those times.
I long ago stopped getting too worked up over cliffhanger endings. We know that, if there's a season 3, John will eventually be cleared. However, that being said, they did a good job of making me want to see how it all unfolds and continue following all of these interesting characters. I really hope there's a season 3!

I've learned long ago that in order to enjoy most shows, you need to set aside some sense of disbelief. Nick being able to hide the evidence in Nolan's wall that seamlessly in that period of time was far-fetched but it made for a fantastic cliffhanger.
They did say that Nick was allowed to keep working after the shooting because they were short-handed and tracking a cop killer. It probably wouldn't work that way in real life but I appreciated that they gave us some sort of an explanation.
I didn't have a problem with Nolan talking to Grace in front of Rosalind. Nolan was desperate to get answers about Armstrong. He thought that telling Rosalind about his girlfriend thinking about going back to her ex would have been enough to placate her. He miscalculated. And yes, I really do hope that Grace and John get back together and at some point Rosalind goes after her because that could be great, exciting drama!

There were times in the finale when I did not recognize Nolan. He was so far asea that I wondered what happened to John Nolan. JMO. I agree with Teresa too. She made the most valid points. You do not mind stretching reality for the sake of the story but they went too far with it. Happy for Tim. If he didn't take the chance, I think he always would of wondered, What if?? Grace can stay gone. Wasn't much of a fan before this epi and she did nothing to make it better. Looking forward to next season and seeing where the stories go

The episode was just ok for me. I'm starting to get that deja vu feeling again regarding the lighting (IMO) and realize a lot of the scenes were at night. Also, like geezer, what happened to the rational Nolan we have all come to know and love? In a recent interview, Hawley used the dreaded word 'organic' and I was hoping we would not see that word (again, IMO).In spite of all of this, I am looking forward to a new season.
