I don't know about the rest of you but my husband, daughter, and I are watching a lot of movies while we're stuck at home. And as we all get our picks it's become an interesting playlist.
-Pride and Prejudice (2005) -The Accounant (2016) -Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017 -Little Women (1994) -Crimson Tide (1995)
My daughter LOVED Pride and Prejudice which made me incredibly happy. My husband was dreading Jumanji and ended up rating it 8 out of 10. The Accountant was much better than I expected.
Today we have Little Women and Crimson Tide.
So are the rest of you watching anything you'd recommend or tell the rest of us to avoid?

We've been watching some old movies. My husband had never seen Casablanca or Citizen Kane. I absolutely love Casablanca and have seen it many times. I always cry when they start singing La Marseillaise. He hated Citizen Kane. I never cared much for it either.
I recently saw Crazy Rich Asians. It was really good! I saw The Nice Guys again a while back. Ryan Gosling & Russell Crowe (2016). The first time I saw it I was on a plane and I couldn't help laughing out loud! I think it has a lot of bad language if that is a concern. I wish they would make a sequel.

I watched The Neverending Story that was free on IMDb with commercials. Your daughter should love that one. I got the CBS ON LINE STATION (free for 30 days, get the commercial free as you can always cancel or switch to the other cheaper version later) I watch Picard. It was interesting. Nice to see the return of many original next generation crew members. I’m going to start Star Trek Discovery today. I also watched the new Jumangi movie and the new Dolphin movie on Disney, I highly recommend it😎 I caught up on a few Marvel movies I missed as I have Disney Plus for free until Nov. this stay in order should get me caught up on Disney, Pixar, and Marvel Second Hand Lion is on of my favorites I might rewatch that soon.

ibmjas - I love Casablanca too! My local theater showed it on the big screen a couple of years ago and it was great to see it that way. It was just one showing but it was sold out which I thought was pretty cool. I saw Crazy Rich Asians when it first came out and thought it was fun too. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed our rewatch of Crimson Tide but I guess it’s hard to go wrong with Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington. My daughter gets the next pick but she’s currently playing Fortnite with her friends so we’ll have to wait and see what we come up with.

I've mainly been binging on Hallmark movies but the other night I pulled out a lot of our old DVD's and intend to start mixing them in. I watched 3 Men And A Little Lady last night and have The Proposal, While You Were Sleeping, Blindside, Red and Red 2, Mama Mia, The Greatest Showman, The Court Jester (a real oldie with Danny Kaye), Trading Places and the first Anne of Green Gables set all lined up and ready to roll!

A local drive-in showed the greatest showman last night. I think a couple of my friends went. I guess drive-ins are the way to watch movies now 😜🤩😎

Here are some of our favorites: The Sting Tootsie Romancing The Stone Apollo 13 I just saw that Romancing the Stone is now on Hulu! I haven't seen it in years so we may have to rewatch it. I love Apollo 13. It's one of those movies where if I find it on TV somewhere, I have to watch it.

Having lived through the early space and moon missions, we still get choked up every time communication resumes as the capsule returns to earth. I remember being at my grandparents' farm and going on the roof of the chicken coop to watch Sputnik fly by (really aging myself now, lol). Several years ago space shuttle astronauts were the grand marshals of the Fiesta Bowl Parade, including John Glenn. Seeing him was an emotional moment. Another good movie about the beginning of our space program is The Right Stuff. Those men were fearless!!

I might have to watch that again. I also remember all of our neighbors going out to the street to watch Sputnik fly by. I wanted to be an astronaut. I built all of the models from mercury to Apollo. I was able to see 4 of the original 7 astronauts over the years. By now I figured we would be living on other worlds. We had about a 20 years where we did nothing...

There's one about 40 mins from here but don't know if it is still in operation particularly now with the virus.

We have one about an hour away in Pennsylvania. It closes from October to April and can get pretty crowded in the summer. I just checked their website and it says, "opening will need to be delayed until the current threat of the coronavirus has subsided."
