Our local ABC station plays old Castle episodes late Sat night. I record the episode every week. This week they played one of my favorite episodes from Season 1 "Home is where the Heart Stops". This was written by Will Beale, one of favorite writers. There are so many iconic things from this episode. We learn about Castles first wife.
We discover that Castle is a crack shot at the firing range. Later in the series hus skills save Beckett.
We see Lanie as her best friend trying to help her pick a dress for the fancy fund raiser so they can catch the people doing the robberies.
We see them dance for the first time.
Beckett likes vodka.
Once again Beckett tells Castle to stay in the car. The guy they are after falls on the hood of the car. Castle is playing cop when this happens and Castle turns on the windshield wipers and hits the guy in the face.
Kate shows up at Castles loft the next morning to return the jewelry that Martha let her use and stays for breakfast.
So many good lines in this episode.

This truly may be the best episode of all. I remember on another Castle board we were asked to pick our top 5 Castle episodes. That was tough! Most people had this one in their top 5 and many said it was their favorite. It's my favorite. I loved the firing range "We could always just cuddle, Castle", and when he sent the dress "Bippity, boppity, boo", and his jewel thief buddy, and their "date" at the fund raiser, and auctioning Castle "the White Whale" off for the charity. Everything about it was great.

My favorite part was the dress scene. I loved when she was berating Castle and then saw the dress and was speechless A great episode!!!

Great episode! My favorite part was the firing range scene After Beckett says, "We could always just cuddle, Castle." He is so delighted that she's teasing him and that he made her smile; I found that really endearing.
