Well, you know it's a busy week when I don't realize the new one has begun until Wednesday!
On the upside, we've had no snow. (Yay!) On the downside, it has been kind of gray and dreary and I'm craving some heat and sunshine.
It feels like the month of January just won't end. I keep thinking that it must be February by now. My plan is to change out our holiday header on Feb. 1st. Fingers crossed I get it done!
How is everyone here doing?

This my last day visiting family in the east. Can I say that your “Ezpass” system for tolls in the east is very poorly run. I have been trying to deactivate my EZPass since I was here for the summer of 2018. I thought I had cancelled my account back in early Nov. but noticed they were still deducting $1.50 per month? Since it was, I thought, obvious, I used it to drive over to Delaware last weekend. Today I called because I noticed the recent tolls were not showing. Well, apparently I suspended the device but the account wasn’t closed. Now I will get the toll and a fine because the account was “suspended”. I have a rental car so I will leave the account open until the tolls and fines are taken out. Thank God we don’t have these in the west😎

I've been waiting for weeks for my new glasses to be delivered as the frames I like were on backorder. The tracking # said they'd be delivered yesterday and I couldn't wait. I was home all afternoon except for the 20 minutes it took to go pick up my daughter from school. Of course, that's when the mail carrier showed up and, unbeknownst to me, the package needed a signature! I can't remember the last time I had to sign for anything. I suppose waiting one more day after waiting a month isn't a big deal but it sure is frustrating.

Hope you are enjoying your new glasses today, PTVJ
We had a pretty quiet week for us. We went to Breakfast Club on Thursday and yesterday, we went to see Star Wars. We enjoyed it and were happy with the way they wrapped things up. There is SO much sickness around our area that we are staying home as much as possible . The twins have been sick and their Dad is fighting something too. Manda and Mike said that MANY people are absent from work too. Schools have been cancelling days because so many faculty and students are ill. We had a very mild January. It was the 6th warmest January on record. It's just been dreary. The sun was out for about an hour today for the 1st time in the last 8 days.

Ditto just about everything Geezer said! We've been totally locked into clouds for almost 2 solid weeks, although it's been an exceptionally warm January. No complaints there! This morning we saw the sun for a couple of hours before the clouds rolled back in and it was sure uplifting!
We've stayed home and stayed healthy too. One grandson had pneumonia and there've been other family members with respiratory issues.
