I like they way they are giving us a look at all of the different characters every week. The original rookies are growing wing and getting more confident every week...except West who is figuring out who he is with a new perspective this season. Alan plays the shy bumbling guy so well. It was fun to look for the ad lib things they must have added. I’m sure the coughing into the sandwich bag was all Alan. That he only had a pager was a hoot, and you’re right about the phone going dead playing games. I always keep an eye on the battery when I’m out and playing games on my phone. I wonder if they left the door open for him to return again to do a crime scene or to date the girl from dispatch? I liked the way Grace is already getting to know Nolan’s police group and had them there for his birthday. After his day was going so poorly it was nice to see it end well.

I really enjoyed the episode. I chuckled through most of it. I loved Alan Tudyk and couldn't help but wonder if that role wasn't written specifically for him because it's the type of character he loves to play. Since almost all of his scenes were just with he and Nathan, I bet those two had a ball filming and I also bet there was a lot of cracking up going on. Alan is a master at keeping a straight face and he really knows how to get to Nathan!
I also enjoyed West's antics. What a goofball! And then to find out a lot of it was the power of suggestion, was so fitting.
Loved Lucy and the way she had her TO's back. They're becoming quite the good team and their mutual respect is wonderful to see.
I do like Grace and was happy that she had a part in the birthday celebration. I hope they continue to develop her relationship with Nolan.
I also thought the ride along with Gray and the new TO was very satisfying. Again, seeing that mutual respect develop, is good stuff.

Elroy and the dispatcher are a match made in heaven, LOL. I would like to see that. Like Nyla Harper. Basically a good but complex gal. The tremendous stress she endured on and off the job was tough. She's trying to get back to a, somewhat, normal life. I liked her interaction with Grey. West is West but certainly had his moments this week, LOL. Lucy is going to be a good cop, that's for sure. She works so hard at it and is a good person. Nolan and Grace.?? The goodie and our caped hero? Wow, how interesting. Big yawn here folks. JMO
