I have to say my weekend was great. As a birthday present from her grandfather, my daughter got tickets to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie with the live NJ Symphony Orchestra playing all the music.
It was really fantastic. We were in the first balcony so we could watch the entire orchestra play down below us during the film and the arts center was filled with Harry Potter fans which made it a lot of fun.
I hope you all had a nice weekend and a good week ahead.
Halloween is this Thursday! Enjoy.

That sounds fantastic! Hearing a live symphony orchestra perform is wonderful. You hear so many things that you just can’t experience from a recording. Great present🎶🎵🎶🎵😎
I visited a hummingbird park. They are just about finished with their migration thru our state. We have some who will stick around.
Wednesday I have plans to visit the Big Room at Kartchner Caverns. Unlike the other famous Caverns here in the US, this cavern is still alive and growing. They have taken lots of special precautions to keep the Caverns protected from visitors and the outside elements. I went thru the smaller Rotunda/Throne room tour about 10 years ago. They keep the larger Big room tour limited to only this time of year as the bats need it during the rest of the year.

We had 3.4 inches of snow last night. Welcome to winter in Wisconsin It is also supposed to snow on Halloween which makes it tough on all the little ones here. I always sit out on my daughter's lawn and pass out candy while they, including my wife, go Trick or Treating. LOL, but I will have to revise my plan this year and sit in the garage. Tonight, we are going to a Thank You dessert and performance by a local troupe who we have yearly tickets to. They put on very entertaining musical shows so it will be a fun evening.

Well, it looks like we're going to need our umbrellas for Halloween tomorrow. Unfortunately, that means the school is canceling its Halloween parade. The class will still have their party so I'll need to bring in my giant package of toilet paper for the mummy making contest.

Expecting heavy rain and wind here in western Virginia. I suppose that means all that candy and no trick-or-treaters to eat it. Well, I just cannot let that happen. Oh, the things we do to ensure that no food [or candy] is wasted. Maybe that should be 'waisted' since that is likely where it will go. Ah, the sacrifice we must make!

I've been enjoying a whole week with no appointments or social commitments! It's a treat to just stay home and accomplish things here. So far, I've completed a new quilt top, prepared the turkey breasts for Thanksgiving dinner, baked 5 batches of cookies and 2 batches of scones and caught up on some reading. I'm looking forward to the grandkids stopping by in their costumes tonight and then tomorrow I'm starting a new quilt! The snow that hit Geezer missed us here but we've been in the deep freeze. It got down to 17 degrees last night and we'll be lucky if we rebound back to 32 today. No change in sight so we're in full winter mode. TOO SOON!

I'm happy for all the former Arizona Diamondbacks players who play for the Nationals and will get World Series rings: Scherzer, Corbin, Hudson, Eaton, Parra, as well as former manager Chip Hale. Congratulations to all!

I bought candy for Halloween a month ago...then realized I will be camping and not home tonight😱. I bought candy I don’t like so I will get a bowl and give it away.

Well, we got lucky here tonight. It rained all morning and they did have to cancel the school Halloween parade but they still had their class parties. I'm a class parent so I was there from set up to clean up, but it all went pretty smoothly and I love having fun with all of the kids. By mid-afternoon the rain had stopped. It was cloudy but warm and breezy. The temperature shot up to 71 degrees! It made for a very pleasant night of trick-or-treating and we and the kids had a very good time.

Lucky You, PTVJ Halloween was cold with flurries but still passed out candy to about 110 kids. LOL, but we have hearty kids and parents when it comes to free candy
We went to the movies and saw The Current War yesterday. Very interesting and good show in our opinion.

I had a seizure a few days ago but it was mild and I was down for only 4 hours. I’m still alive.

They spent millions restoring an old Hotel in downtown Green Bay, WI. The place is beautiful. As a treat on Sunday, after church, we enjoy going there for breakfast. The quality of the food and service is wonderful and it isn't all that pricey. It's just a fun experience for us.
