Wow, I'm surprised and chocked to read this. This really doesn't speak well of Alexi Hawley, not only of his (in)ability as a showrunner, but also of the little importance he seems to give to this kind of situation. On the other hand, I don't think this should impact Nathan's reputation. Afton never mentions Nathan and, as she speaks freely and clearly identifies the people involved, I think if Nathan also knew and was a part of this, she would have said so. We don't really know what happened in Castle, but it would have to be a different kind of situation, considering all cast got along very well for several seasons and at least most of them still do. I hardly see that happening with this kind of situation on set. Or maybe it's a good think that we never know what happened in Castle, so it doesn't ruin our beloved show.

PTVJ, Joana - thank you for your opinion with regards Nathan. It could just be considered bad luck but as you said PTVJ, those fans from Castle who grew to dislike him and his fans that would not think badly of him may now wonder. And personally I hope that if he does comment he thinks long and hard about what he says and how he says it given the reaction of fans when he made the initial comments about Stana's departure from Castle. For me, just a mess and very sad that someone had to leave their job. Also, am I correct that the woman from the hair department was fired and yet the actor was not? That Afton was placed in the position of having to "act" with him? It will be interesting to read the outcome IF it is made available to everyone outside of the studio. B

1Lincoln40, The person from the hair department was fired but only after the alleged sexual assault at the wrap party. The actor is recurring, which is what astounds me. A recurring actor is only around as long as the storyline dictates. To my understanding, that means Alexi could have written him out or simply dropped his storyline at any time without repercussion, so why keep him coming back if he knew there was an issue? I can't say I blame Afton for walking away from the show if things escalated to sexual assault in the case of the hair stylist, and she had no assurances that she wouldn't be asked to work with the recurring actor yet again.

Ok, so I'm just rambling, thinking out loud but I have to wonder if Alexi thought that what Afton may have told him was happening was no big deal until what happened at the wrap party and it could no longer be ignored? And as I read somewhere someone saying innocent until proven otherwise, but unless Afton Williamson is bored with acting, she was taking a HUGE risk naming names. IF not true, she could surely be sued by those named and I also cannot see a studio willing to hire her after what has been said. I'm also wondering IF/When the studio may release a statement on the matter. I also wonder if Nathan might be "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't." And by that I mean, the longer he is silent, the worse it may look for him..? B

I totally agree with you, 1Lincoln40. Nathan has been completely silent about the whole mess and I don't think that reflects well on him, but on the other hand, it may be that the studio doesn't want anyone commenting on an ongoing investigation. None of the other regular actors have commented either. As you said, it's a case of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
