I'm not sure if Sunday is a good night or a bad night for The Rookie. It won't matter to me since I DVR it. I just want it's ratings to be good.

It's coming on after Shark Tank, which is a reality/family show. Will that audience stay up to watch The Rookie? I'm not sure. I was hoping they'd move the show to a 9pm slot for two reason: First because I think it would find a better audience if it was earlier and second, because with it starting at 10pm ET, I'm up until past 1am writing, formatting, and posting my reviews!

Sounds like you need to move to the Midwest so you could watch at nine and get to bed earlier. I always heard Fridays were a graveyard spot, but it seems some shows do fine. I never considered Sunday a good viewing night. People are worn out from the weekend and the prospect of Monday around the corner. I don't think I ever heard an official position on it though.

At least it's not on CBS! I used to review The Mentalist and the last two seasons it aired at 10pm on Sundays. Well, CBS also has football which frequently runs over. There were some nights the show didn't even start until after 11pm. That made for some brutal Monday mornings.

When it says “held for mid season, does that mean we won’t see new episodes until Jan?

When it says “held for mid season, does that mean we won’t see new episodes until Jan? Yes, that's basically what it means. The new season won't begin until winter/spring of 2020.
