I'll take it! I'm getting more and more uneasy as we wait to hear if the show is renewed.

It's gotten to be a really good show but with numbers like that, it doesn't look good.

The Village premiere over at NBC didn't do as well as New Amsterdam. It's on in New Amsterdam's time slot again next week. (I don't know when New Amsterdam is coming back.)
The leads ins (shows that aired just before these) were as follows:
This Is Us (NBC) 1.7/7.64 Splitting Up Together (ABC) 0.6/2.40 FBI (CBS) - repeat 0.6/6.17
The Village (NBC) 0.8/4 4.82 The Rookie (ABC) 0.7/3 4.24 NCIS: New Orleans (CBS) – repeat 0.5/2 3.84
Last week's ratings: The Rookie (ABC) 0.6/3 4.56

I think if they look at the bump the last couple of weeks that should give them a go for season 2. It shows they are gaining viewers.

I am not quite familiar with these ratings, but from what I remember from Castle, aren't they a bit low? I hope they give it a chance anyway. And since the TV channel that broadcasts "The Rookie" and "Absentia" here is the same (AXN), I hope they do a similar event than we had on Tuesday lol! I want to meet Nathan too! Am I asking too much ?

Am I asking too much ? Ratings have changed over time as less and less people are watching live TV. When Castle premiered, the goal was a 3.0 in the demo and 10.00 (million) plus viewers. Now, not many shows crack a 2.0 in the demo and between 5 and 10 million is considered good. Thankfully, they now take DVR replay and online viewing into account. Fingers crossed that helps The Rookie.

The Village (NBC) 0.7/4 4.05 The Rookie (ABC) 0.7/4 4.24 NCIS: New Orleans (CBS) – 0.7/4 7.18
The Village dipped a bit during its second week while The Rookie held steady. I find it interesting that all three shows do the same in the demo (Adults 18-49).
The Rookie is ABC's best performer in its Tuesday night lineup. I'm hoping that means something.

Well, The Village saw a bump from following the This Is Us season finale. Unfortunately, The Rookie dipped down in the ratings, but half of ABC's sitcoms that evening were repeats. The Rookie was ABC's highest rated show that night. Hopefully we see an uptick with the final two episodes of the season.
The Village (NBC) 0.7/4 4.15 The Rookie (ABC) 0.7/4 3.84 NCIS: New Orleans (CBS) – 0.8/4 7.19

ABC is still putting out lots of promos for The Rookie so I have to believe that they are thinking good thoughts about a second season.

The Rookie's season finale saw a bit of a bump up in the ratings. Fingers crossed that ABC likes what it sees.
