Great revue, Christine. We really liked the episode. The young woman getting killed through no fault of her own was just heart wrenching. I really liked this new side of Bishop and how she interacted with Nolan. Bradford still drives me nuts. He could of showed Lucy a little bit of humanness instead of his total by the book crap. With his druggie old lady, he overlooks all but gives no one else a break. Maybe Lucy and Nolan are just finally moving on from relationship to just being friends as they said they were going to. I know a lot of you enjoy them as a couple but I would like to see him date other women first. If he winds up back with Lucy, so be it. West certainly is becoming a good cop after his early trials. I enjoy watching him develop. I loved Sarge defending his people with the hard ass Fed. What was with her? She would leave officers under fire to their own defense while others stood around. That's just wrong IMO. LOL, okay I'm done

Not at all, Geezer! I've always been a spoiler-holic and enjoy going into a new show with a general idea of what's happening.

This show just gets better and better. The writing is right up there with how early seasons of Castle were written. When I think back on the episode I can’t believe they got all of that into 42 minutes.
I could understand Nolans remorse in selling the home he had built and raised his son. Few children these days live in one home growing up. Our society seems to move around or change homes a lot. The advice from his childhood friend was the only voice that understood and he gave him good advice. The door jam with the growth marks was perfect for his son to send it to his Dad. I think he wanted to keep that also.
It was nice to finally understand the issues that West has with his mother. It was more than just being a cop. I had a feeling there was more to the story. I was surprised that when his brother got worse that he didn’t take a brake from the training and help out. His Dad could have helped with that decision but it sounds like he didn’t help with the choices.
It it was nice to see the 3 rookies together at Nolan’s place after the day they had. Nolan is lucky to have other cops to talk through the day. I think Talia would enjoy joining this group after they get thru their training. I get the feeling that she tries to go it alone and that is not really working for her. I loved that Nolan gave her positive feedback about the counseling. A young rookie would never have given her that advice. His life experience is starting to be an asset on the job that the other officers are learning to respect instead of the early ridicule.
I am am so glad I was able to download the episode while on vacation in New Zealand. 😎

I got to watch this episode today and I agree with all of you that the show keeps getting better and better. I really enjoy the way they are bringing along all 3 of the rookie/TO pairings. Despite Tim's by-the-book demeanor, it's obvious that he was very concerned about Lucy and I believe he genuinely cares about her well being.
I felt so badly for Jackson when he couldn't meet with his mom. Now that we know the history of their issue, I hope we see a reconciliation. Jackson did a great job in the shootout and I was happy that Lopez gave him the recognition he deserved for overcoming his fears. Again, the partnership is gelling.
I liked seeing Bishop try to be more positive and it speaks to me of a good relationship between she and Nolan when he could kind of tease her about it. All along, I've had the feeling that these 2 have a little bit more mature partnership than the other rookies and I think it's largely because of Nolan's age and life experiences. She's still doing her job of training him but she also gives him a measure of respect that the other rookies are still fighting to get.
All in all, I'm just really enjoying the slow but steady development of the characters and their interactions with each other. Although I chose to watch because of Nathan, I'm continuing to watch because I enjoy the entire cast!
