Air Date 5/12/2014 The wait is finally over for Castle as the wedding day approaches. Kate discovers that she's still married to her college sweetheart, and visits him to get a divorce. But he has problems of his own, bigger than anyone could imagine. I chose a picture with Kate and Lanie dressed for the wedding. IF only... This was the episode that killed my love of this show. After watching this episode I didn't watch or even think about Castle all summer. I really didn't care what they did I was done. If they had let them get married and then had Castle taken right after I think I could have accepted this but to not give us the wedding we had waited 6 years to see. I am taking a break from doing puzzles. I need it after this episode. I will start them up again in March. I am taking a trip in Jan and Feb to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific islands. I didn't want to try and post puzzles while I was out of the country. If you want to do a puzzle I suggest going back and doing one of the hundreds that I have posted. I will try and do season 7 later. Season 8 I still haven't bought that season... www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=33859664af5d

This was, indeed, a tough pill to swallow. There was no joy in Mudville. We were out in LA for the Castle Con the fall afterwards and Andrew Marlow and Terri Edda Miller took some heat from the fans in their Q and A session about the choice to sabotage the wedding. Andrew's explanation was that he feared it would feel like the end of the series if all were to live happily ever after and he wanted to give the audience a reason to come back in the fall. I think the vast majority of the show's die hard fans thought he blew it. He really didn't know us at all. We would have joyfully tuned in to see what married life was like for our favorite couple. You're right, Tycho. This was the end of the magic for a whole lot of us. While there were some episodes in season 7 that I enjoyed, the show would never be the same for me. Oh, for what could have been!

I so agree with both of you ladies The show basically went in the toilet after S6E23. What a disaster after giving us all such a WONDERFUL journey up to that point. I have bemoaned and complained ad nauseum about it here at APFJ so that is all I'll say. I think I went into shock after that episode and could not believe that they had destroyed with 1 episode such a beautiful show Sorry, it still rankles me.
Have a WONDERFUL TRIP

Oh my, after seeing the picture, what wonderful stories could of been told if only...……………... Yes I had to put up the picture of what should have happened. If we could have only known to just turn off the rest of this episode.
