Parade interview from October about the Rookie

I found this interview from last October that was in Parade magazine. Not a lot of new things but Nathan does talk nice about Castle

Great interview but this is my favorite part of it...

"You don’t disrespect work; you behave professionally. All too often, I see actors coming to work and thinking maybe now they’re a big deal and they’re better than people. It’s an odd perspective and it’s not reasonable. We’re a team of people making entertainment, that’s all it is, but it’s a job and you’re required to act professionally. If you don’t, you’ll be surprised how quickly you can destroy your own career, quite frankly."

When I read that answer I couldn't help but think about the Michael Weatherly scandal going on a CBS right now. I hate it when actors I like aren't the people I hope they would be in real life. It's nice that Nathan seems to be the exception.

There was another part that I found particularly interesting. A lot of us were frequently disappointed in interviews when Nathan couldn't seem to remember much specific about Castle scenes or stories or moments. Here, he emphasizes that his perspective is from the inside and not as a viewer. He comes to work, not focused on the way the story will unfold but rather on who's participating and what they have to get done that day - more of the nuts and bolts. I guess I can see the difference.
