Just curious. We all have characters to whom we feel a particular connection. Which of the Castle characters do you most closely identify with and why?

Both to some degree
I Identify with Castle because I was born one month after he was (May 2nd 1969) Live in New York State spent a LOT of time in the library as a kid (it was next door) and have a niece the same age as Alexis whom I hepled my brother raise. I understand a lot of the cultural references he does.
I identify with Beckett on a more emotional level. I have lost a parent and had to help take care of the other one. I don't let other people in easily because my father was distant.

shutterbug5269, I get all of Castle’s cultural references as well. I actually share Nathan Fillion’s birthday so I guess I have that connection. I've also always felt a connection to how fiercely Castle loves and is protective of his daughter. I identify with Beckett in a completely different way. I’m more of an introvert, protective of my privacy and I don’t trust or let people in easily. That was definitely Beckett in the beginning of the series.
