Season 8 from EW Spoiler Room

I am really fired up for season 8. As long as Castle And Beckett are mostly working together, I'm game.

A wee bit, though new co-showrunner Alexi Hawley promises we’re in for a change in the new season. “We just want to get in there and try to tell some really dynamic stories,” he says. “Going into season 8, it feels like it’s time to shake things up a little bit.”

Isn't "shaking things up" how we ended up with the season 6 finale and the mess that followed?

I was thinking the same thing, shutterbug5269 but I'm trying to remain optimistic and keep an open mind.

I'm not panicking, but I do admit this past season may have pushed my capacity for keeping an open mind pretty close to the limit.

Wherever the new showrunners are going, they need to get on with it quickly with a minimum of fuss. Not drag it out and leave us with more questions than answers.

Season 7 felt too much like they were rolling along without a plan as it was.
