Air date Jan 6, 2014 Castle and Beckett must find a serial arsonist as Ryan and Esposito struggle for their life in a building set on fire. This was an intense episode. We got to see Ryan and Jenny pick names for their new baby as Ryan faced not being there for his family. I enjoyed the focus on the boys. I’m sure many people were hoping this was a peek at future Castle babies happening as they investigated a murder in the future. Seamus and his wife do not have any children but they do love dogs. Julia does a travel blog and she always looks for goats. www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=3151b97274c9

Despite the fact that the episode focused more on the boys than on Castle and Beckett, this stands out as one of my very favorite episodes and Seamus Dever is the reason why. His performance was so incredibly real and moving! I was literally sobbing as the guys faced a certain death in that basement. The one thing that didn't sit well with me however, was the whole idea of Jenny giving birth right there in the ambulance. That was totally unrealistic and contrived. I wish they'd come up with some other way to have the emotional reunion.
It still surprises me that we haven't seen Seamus cast in some significant role since Castle ended. Maybe he's happy doing theater?

A very good episode. Loved the heartfelt emotions and acting of all involved.

I really loved the Wild Rover when Ryan went undercover. I really would have loved to have seen more of his family life. The episodes that focused on Espo were some of my least favorite. I also thought Seamus was great in the 70s episode when he was a hippie.

I know that Seamus was trying to find an indi movie but the funding just wasn’t there. He did a guest spot on Take Rwo this summer.
During one interview Nathan was asked who he thought was the best actor he had worked with and he said Seamus.
Yes he needs to get some work.

I contributed a small amount to his indie film, but it never happened. I guess it was money thrown away. I never saw that interview where Nathan said Seamus was the best actor he worked with. Although he often hands out compliments, he's usually a lot more diplomatic about not choosing favorites.

A friend of mine might do some of the costumes for the movie. It is still going to happen I think but it is on hold for now.
